Starting to think we need an Ashford fan board where Jville is the mod (and only user)

I’m not sure that’s the case. Look at the OL and WR. I used to think Nix was highly overrated and didn’t really know what to do based on his scrambling. Then, as time passed, I realized his scrambling was due to our atrocious OL. Nix is doing much better—sure it’s the PAC 12 where they don’t play defense, but at least he has some time. Now, look at Thorne’s games. Same issue. I’m not saying Thorne is great, but he has little time to make decisions. It may be why he runs a good bit much like Nix.

We need a Throne board for all the fans that love QBs throwing for less than or barely 100 yards and double digit INTs each season.

In no way is Throne close to the runner Ashford is
This is a very true statement. Ashford runs side to side and many times for a loss. Thorne runs north to south and most times for positive yards.

There is no doubt the supporting players are a huge part of it. But changing QB's every season and having to adjust the offense or learn it again is shite. A consistent QB for multiple seasons is much better than starting a new hired hand every season.
Our offense has been all over the place over the past 10 years. Its not a magic fix but getting guy back there for more than 12 games will help keep things rolling

Nix was running for his life every snap (Jville hated him too btw and wanted TJ to start and was almost equally obsessive)
Nix definitely exacerbated the problems by running even when he didn’t have to but my man was seeing ghosts. He just stopped trusting the OL and it showed

Link? I very much thought Finley was trash.

I don’t necessarily disagree, but the parameters you gave led us to seasons in which a new QB was highly successful.
We all know and can all agree that the two biggest issues right now are the OL and WR. A consistent QB may indeed help here, but a transfer may do just as well under a competent OL.

Just from looking at Freeze's QB's I dont think Ints affect him a whole lot.
Even the Kent Austin dude had 198 total TDs, 191 total interceptions in the CFL.

Yeah, when they’re throwing for 3,000+ yards. Has Throne passed for even 1,500 yet? I haven’t checked.

Of the 13 qb’s you listed, 6 transferred into the program. Of the 7 that signed out of high school, 3 transferred out, 1 got bounced because he loved booger sugar, 1 quit with eligibility remaining, 2 graduated with one of those 2 being moved to wr

Dont care. He has played pretty well lately. Last week against NMSU he completed 15-19 and was absolutely not the reason we lost. Tonight he did pretty well overall helping move the chains with his legs. Like I said, I am pretty comfortable knowing he is the fallback guy. I am pretty sure Ashford is gone

No doubt. He needs to, and hopefully Throne drops to 3rd string next year.

I dont know what you mean by he needs to. I doubt UNA would want him if he wants to be a QB. He just might stick to being a student.
