I can probably name 3 better coaches that are available.

There will be around 40 openings this year. Anyone good coach now will be gone somewhere else & won't be available next year. If you are scared about going up against LSU or UF or Pedo St. I feel bad for you. We can pull a good coach from the P5 and move along. Win next year. I don't want to have another year where I am not enjoying AU football because we have a horrible head coach that is past his time.

CFB in general has undergone tremendous changes over the past decade ... some would say generational changes.

It's no surprise that some programs were better prepared to manage change, and that some programs had stronger leadership than others.
Some teams adapted better than others .... and it seems that Auburn was not one of those teams.

I'm convinced that Cohen has a lot of experience within the SEC, but I'm not certain he is an innate leader or can lead a big program through a generational change.. With basketball, it wasn't needed .... because Pearl.

But in football, with the Harsin and Freeze situations, I believe Cohen's leadership capabilities have been exceeded. Might be time for some fresh blood

Not exactly sure at all how Cohen did anything less than desirable with the Harsin situation.

As far as Freeze, pretty much agreed upon that Cohen was as close as you could get to being able to hire Kiffen, and it is also well known that Mike Elko was on his short list.

At least one of THE major boosters was adamant about hiring Freeze.

Solid "A" work here.

In the late 80's a group of lads from NC State road tripped it to Auburn for a Homecoming game. Said they'd never seen an SEC campus, and wanted to experience a football weekend. Why they bypassed Athens, I can't recall, but they happened on a lawn party, just checking out fraternity row. No tickets, no real plans, just checking it all out.

Sorta feel like Auburn has now become that mid tier ACC school when it comes to football.

*sigh*

Bump… he hasn’t been fired yet … AU is in it to rob the fanbase, not to compete

Follow up from last week. Curiously, NC State has its biggest win of the season and Auburn? Can't stick it in on their own turf vs FREAKING KENTUCKY!

Good riddance, Freeze. Glad his tee time was pulled.
