I guess the one bright side of NIL is that we may see fewer guys forgoing their eligibility to declare for the draft, particularly after the first three rounds.
While we’re on the subject - why not give players with eligibility remaining a chance to come back to school if they don’t make an NFL roster their rookie year?
I mean, that whole “amateur status of the student-athlete” is out the door anyway, amirite?

Can't say I am surprised about Seth. Had one elite skill, average to below average at everything else. Didn't bring it down to down or do any of the little things. Almost never had success against elite corners.

Sal is a surprise so is Zakoby/Chandler hopefully they find a spot.

Yeah, but with Tim Patrick going out for the Broncos, he was expected to be kept around to help fill that role, plus he was one of the stronger receivers they had in preseason.
But such is life.

He's been gone longer than the guys listed above, but Rudy Ford got cut by the Jags and just got signed to the Packers 53 man roster.

Not really. He was in the USFL this spring. I'd be surprised if 10 guys from the USFL made final roster spots.

Chandler didn't even start for us and we were thin at LB. Sal and Zakoby are undersized.

Name another coach at Auburn that has done better?
I expect former pro bowler Dee Ford to eventually get picked up as well.
