The Bills are nuts for keeping him on practice squad.

It frustrates me that we never fully utilized Kerryon in the passing game. Getting him the ball in the open field or on check downs would have been amazing.

I was told by some people that he had some of the better ball skills on the team too..... which I realize is a fairly low bar

What are you talking about? Did you see his stats his last yr at AU vs his 1st yr w Lions?

AU 24 receiving 194 yds 2 TDs (12 games before hurt)
Lions 32 213 yds 1 TD (12 games before hurt)

So where did we NOT utilize him in the passing game?

Not really. The WR that beat him out (McKenzie) has experience at the NFL level and faster. I think he got a TD last Sunday too.

Duke didn't lose out by much, and the length of the season means he probably will get called up sometime.

I don't consider 2 catches per game "utilized" for a dynamic backfield receiving threat in college.

We almost always had him in pass protection and rarely if ever motioned him to the slot, used as a check down dump pass or run routes.

He also was splitting time at RB / not the starter for most of the year

Agreed. And considering he had far fewer snaps in those 12 games with the lions and he still had 33% more receptions, we vastly under utilized his skills.

Kyle Allen seems to be playing well. 3 TDs in first half as replacement to Cam.

Coincidentally, he’s going up against his college teammate, Kyler Murray.

Cam who?

-Charlotte

4 TDs and a lot of good passes and leadership. They haven't had that since cam did it in 2017.

Lots of fun new QBs in nfl to watch.

Cam shows plenty of leadership. Always has. I kinda agree with the rest.

Kyle Allen is a better passer and Cam’s injury history + non running offense basically renders Cam’s athletic ability a non-factor

I wouldnt say Kyle Allen is a better passer. He definitely had a great day, but there’s a reason he was playing on Ole Ball Coach’s team earlier this year.

Maybe Kyle Allen is everything cam needs, he can recover and Carolina has a chance to keep winning

Erik Schlitt
@erikschlitt
With Anderson no longer on the Lions, and Kerryon absorbing his carries, Kerryon faced an 8+ man box against the Eagles 60-percent of his snaps -- most of any RB in the NFL this week.

That explains his 20 carries for 32 yards or whatever it was

That's an impressive beating for a player to take who was labeled injury prone

Marvin Jones and Golladay have some good games but they’re mostly inconsistent and the best receivers on the team. Teams will force them to pass unfortunately.

Kerryon has 16 carries for 96 yards and still very early in the third quarter against the Chiefs.

Johnson just fumbled and a 100 yard fumble return ensued

My only problem with the “let the play of the fumble continue” and “correct the call later” is that to reverse the call it calls for indisputable evidence. There was no way to know that Johnson was or wasn’t down.
