Neiko Thorpe continuing to kick arse and take names of the Neiko Haters Club.
Every year SEA beatwriters have him projected cut. Every year he proves them + AU fans wrong
Thorpe is the perfect athletic fit as a Pete Carroll DB. Long and athletic AF

DL Devaroe Lawrence - Cleveland Browns
Saints dealt him for a 7th RD pick. Interesting as he performed very well in preseason

OL Greg Robinson - Cleveland Browns
Most projected him as cut. GRob holding on though

Joe White JR looking out for his AU brothers. He was projected cut by many

I’d have lost a fricking lot of money betting on the future of Neiko Thorpe. Good for him, just crazy to get burned as much as he seemed to be and then make a spot for yourself in the NFL.

I agree, I'm surprised he's stuck around this long.
Thorpe was always a legit athlete and Chizik era coaching was poor, so maybe it shouldn't be so surprising in hindsight

I wonder if the Greg Robinson cut and below avg career will be used against us on recruiting trail.
Posted on 9/2/18 at 9:29 pm to ever43
It could, potentially.
Greg Robinson, Shon Coleman and Brandon Mosley have all had underwhelming NFL careers.

As is always the case when Week 1 of the regular season rolls around, Seahawks players voted on team captains Monday, selecting quarterback Russell Wilson on offense, linebacker Bobby Wagner on defense, and kicker Sebastian Janikowski and cornerback Neiko Thorpe on special teams.
“We’re really happy to see those guys take a leadership role,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. “Obviously the team really liked them and felt that they were the right guys, so they’ll be the guys who will take the leadership role, as well as a bunch of other guys who will contribute too.”
This marks the sixth straight year Wilson has been voted captain of the offense, while Wagner will hold that title for the third time in the last four years. This is Thorpe’s first time as a captain in three seasons with the Seahawks.
You can make a nice living in the NFL playing special teams well. Just ask Neiko and Brandon King.

What a dumbass. Should've came back this year. I miss his pass rushing ability.

As long as he sticks with a team for the full year, he's gonna make a minimum $121,600 for doing what he loves to do.
He'll make more than that if he's ever called up to Denver (or any other team's) 53 man roster.
God bless him for getting paid for doing what he loves to do. If I'm in college and after my junior year some computer firm thinks I'm qualified and offers me six figures for doing what I love to do, I'm gone.
"But that's different!"

Could've came back, had a big year again, got drafted, and then got a guaranteed millions of dollars contract. Instead of being undrafted.
Posted on 9/4/18 at 8:42 am to jvilletiger25
Or come back, got injured, not drafted again and not making the money he is now. Kids certainly not a dumbass like you

I am happy for him. I hope he gets another 10 years in the League.

Kids get million dollar insurance policies, paid by the school now. You're the dumbass that has to follow me around and make comments on everything I post. Stalker much?

Hell we could have paid him that much

Kids get million dollar insurance policies if they are considered to be a top prospects. As well as he played for us, Holland with his size and limitations was always thought to be a mid-round prospect AT BEST.
You don't get million dollar insurance policies as a mid-round prospect, dumbass. Insurance companies aren't in the business of reimbursing policy buyers in amounts greater than the insured value.

Tuned in to watch KJ play on MNF but my biggest take away was how bad Matt Stafford sucks. I never understood the slobber fest with him anyways.
