Steele didn’t have all those Muschamp recruits anymore.

Wasn't a couldn't figure it out. Missed tackles. Zakoby had a horrible game by his standards. So did Wooten.
If we're talking USC, a lot of it was cutbacks and not having the backside edge contained. There were at least 7-8 runs I counted where the play was stopped where it was designed to be run, but that #11 for USC bounced it outside and we didn't have anyone on the edge to turn it back inside. Boom 15+ yard gain.

I don't think we want to start comparing last year to this year in anything. We finished 3rd in the West last year, We finished last this year. We won twice as many conference games last year with a crappier defense lol.

Only 3 teams in the west finished over .500 last year (we were over by 1 game) and only 2 finished ranked. This year at least 5 will finish above .500 and if we and LSU win the bowl game all 7 would be over .500. Currently 4 west teams are ranked and potentially 5 could finish ranked.

We are also literally one win away from being tied for third in the west (in terms of total wins)

Last year we didn’t beat a single team that finished ranked, this year we will end with at least one and possibly 2.

So overall despite how much you want it to be worse than last year, it’s really not when you factor in that the division is overall significantly better

Auburn HC Bryan Harsin – Likelihood 45% It’s rumored that Harsin would love to have a shot at Oregon. Now that was largely before he arrived at Auburn but maybe we get to be the ‘dream school’ in reverse for once. Harsin is a guy I think Mullens would be immediately attracted to. He’s a no-nonsense type of guy that is huge on discipline and running a tight ship. I think he’ll at least interview for this position and if the numbers line up, I could see this one happening. Vegas +700
Duckscoop giving a 45% chance Harsin leaves to Oregon like they know anything.

LMAO.

That would suck now that all coaches have already gotten hired

Why would Harsin be trying to pull Clemons to Auburn if he's going to Oregon?

Think through that one real quick, and it may make more sense.

I think it’s all bullshite. I now empathize with grumbling professors bitching about stadium renovations while using chalkboard.

Yeah I'm sure all the teachers at Auburn are using chalk board in 2021 lol.

We do have an NIL for out OL.. or at least did this year. Not a big one by any means, but I know they we're eating for free at some local steakhouse.

Kinda feel like one position group making bank is going to cause some dissension amongst their teammates

Maybe he is out there interviewing at Oregon instead of recruiting Clemons.

I know one position that won't be upset is the QB. They, of all the position groups, know how valuable those big uglies are.

Oregon isn't looking at Harsin. Neither was Washington.

Interviewing for another job on the Auburn jet? That is some Joey Freshwater level stuff, if true.

Have to change state legislation to compete with the big boys. When Bama starts bitching about an unfair playing field things will change. 50k a year is absurd tho. Isn’t that more then the median income in America? I’m not sure the NCAA really thought this through without putting some type of caps on it. Can’t blame the players at all. 10-15 million a year to coach college football.

Are you kidding me??

Considering the revenue some of these programs bring in, it’s justifiable. Still though, it is absurd.
