I just can't see Calvin Ashley's fat arse pulling at guard on those buck sweeps and counters

What really sucks is the best teams on our schedule (wash, Miss St, uga, bama) all have elite DL talent... those will be extremely difficult matchups for our OL.

Big Kat has definitely put on some size. Hope him and TD have great breakout years.

Gus was pretty complimentary of Whitlow

Shaun Shivers. Looks pretty good. Nobody next to him though to frame the shot

people said the same thing last year and we had one of the best rushing teams in the SEC and won the West. We will be fine

If Ashley can actually work out at guard I feel better about our o line

Yep, time to get him on the field now that he looks the part. Can always move him back outside in 2019

Agreed. He looks to have slimmed down a good bit. Get him game experience. Is much more valuable than practice reps.

Good thing they get to practice against elite DL talent everyday.

remind yourself we play five preseason top 25 teams and four of them are on the road. Three of those road games have historically proved difficult for us to find wins especially lately. Of those teams three of them are ranked in the top 6. Plus we have to play A&M and LSU who both have plenty of NFL talent.

I agree, but we have QB#8.

15-0 ship.

Can’t be true. Is in doghouse until we say otherwise.

I think the dude that said that got some exaggerated info. I heard that Whitlow was in some trouble but that was months ago and it didn't sound like something that would impact his playtime come Fall.

Coynis Miller is on campus and practicing, correct? Searched and didnt see anything official. AU Football media put out a short camp vid and tehre is a DL player wearing #8. That him?

We lost to 3 of the 5 teams we played with elite DL (1-1 vs uga). We also lost to another team with better than average DL. The OL in those games played poorly-to above average. The difference between a good season and great season is on the OL.

The big difference is the schedule is much harder this season and we don't have KJ. IMO KJ, when healthy, made our OL look above average.

Clemson...No KJ...Horrible
LSU...KJ at 75%...average
uga part 1...KJ at 100%...above average
bama...KJ at 100%...above average
uga part 2...KJ at 65%...slightly below average
UCF...KJ at 75%...average

Fair point, KJ was good. Could be better or worse but another factor to consider now is we'll see how going from H Hand back to JB Grimes goes
