It sounds like Calvin Ashely can't seem to break into the starting o-line.

Anything interesting in the practice notes from today? I'm too cheap to get a subscription to the bunker.

- Kim appears to have won the starting center job, Horton says he doesn't practice there much
- Driscoll might have passed Troxell at RT
- Iggy was practicing again, McClain no contact jersey was off, Richard McBryde must have gotten hurt recently because he did not wear pads
- Boobee & Cox worked at Wildcat
- Nick Coe lined up everywhere during a pass rushing drill
- Daniel Thomas says defense is working on causing more turnovers & scoring
- Siposs is a freaking boss

This makes me happier than it probably should.

As long as he’s taking the snap and immediately putting his head down and blasting through the line, I’m good with it.

Seems like that battle is still going on but Driscoll might hold the edge. Bottom line though is Troxell has had a strong spring & fall. Will be a factor soon if not this season

Also Tega called Driscoll "fake Braden Smith"

He meant it endearingly tho

Just caught the segment on SEC Now with McElroy and Marcus talking about the “monster” being built in Georgia, and the Saban disciple Pruitt building a strong program, along with Fischer with the “recipe” to be that kind of program to battle Nick Saban because, and I quote, “to be the best, you have to beat the best”. No mention of Auburn, though, who has been the only team with a pulse against Alabama during the Saban dynasty . Keep overlooking Auburn.

I'm not. Would rather give it to a running back or have the qb line up under center and qb sneak it.

I sincerely doubt we’ll see it that much with Cox.

I also read where Asa Martin shot way up the depth chart and is a serious contender to start at RB - I would love to see this because I think he has the highest ceiling of all the RBs.

I’m guessing because we’ve only beaten them 3 times during their current run since 08. I would also say that KIrby is without a doubt building a monster at UGA.

Fools gold. Skirby is just taking advantage of a weak East rn.

I don’t know about y’all, but in my mind Kirby’s job got a helluva lot harder when Florida hired Mullen. Given his history at UF and what he could do at MSU, I think he will have UF regularly contending for the East in a year or two.

I'm a big Mullen fan, but UF is going to have to give him time and understand that he's not Urban. He's not going to bring in top 5 classes and it's going to take time to repair that roster. I'm not sure UF will be patient enough.

If Mullen can find a QB they have an opportunity to win 9 games this year.
