I wonder what Zep's offensive trigger is? He's had some games where he makes some great shots, and then many many in a row where he's just a solid defender.

About like our other guards.. they aren’t consistent shooters. When they are on they are on, but when they aren’t it’s pretty ugly.

Holy shite... #1 Gonzaga, #2 Arizona, #3 Auburn, #4 Purdue, #5 Kansas, #6 Kentucky, #9 Texas Tech all lost today. Seven Top 10's have never lost on the same weekend. Also the #8 team lost on Tuesday.

To be honest, I could care less what these top teams do (kinda), but all I want is for Pearl and his players to figure out a way to correct the problems with:

1. Our PGs shooting terrible %s. Wendell seems to have lost his drive and dish ability in the paint.
2. Flanigan to be better offensively and get out his mental funk.
3. For KD to find that outside shot. He IS(outside of Jabari) a very good outside shooter when he knows it. :)
4. This team up until recently was a very solid offense with usually only having one shooting lull a game. Now I see players make bonehead passes(Flan, your IT), and guards trying to dribble too much in traffic.

I was glad to see Wendell find Jabari to get that last shot before the half.

I think it is more how rare/crazy it is that the top 6 teams and 7 of top 10 lost in a single day

I can't remember any other times that have happened, at least not recently

All broadcasters were saying this had never happened before.

It matters to me but only because I've been on this board arguing for a month that, while we ARE flawed, so is literally every other team. We have a chance against any of these squads.

All teams are flawed. Even professional teams.

Expecting perfection at all times is a very difficult standard. A month ago we were playing the best in the nation. Right now we are playing probably top 12. All our issues revolve around offensive play. Defensively we are still incredible.

I think we all moved way to early looking toward the NCAA tournament. We were just past the half way point in conference play and people were worrying what seed we were.

Been preaching all year just win the next game. Same applies this week. Win the next game. Then we probably get a couple days off to rest before headed to the tournament. We win the next 2 and get to the semifinals in the tournament and I expect us to be either the top 2 seed or a 1 seed.

Wednesday night is gonna be another tough one. I figure it will come down to the end. I do think the atmosphere won't be all that crazy because that fan base is super checked out right now. And it is already hard to get a crowd to Starkville on weeknights.

Mississippi State is probably a top 4 talented team in the conference but hasn't played much team ball. They are similar to us took some transfers to complete out their roster but they didn't gel.

I'm showing my bias but I think we win the next 2 and win the conference out right.

I think if we can keep Molinar from killing us we will be fine. You’re right that they’re one of the more talented teams, they just haven’t played like it that much.

Isn't Molinar more of a jump shooter? Compared to a drive by guys. I know he can get to rim but he's a really good jump shooter. Brooks has always worried me since he didn't sign with AU.

Ive yet to watch State play. Dont even know who molinar is. By now our guys have seen pippen jr, shackleford, and other cream of the crop ballers and dont feel worried by someone like Molinar. If it was a team of Molinars Id be worried.

Being 6’3 is problematic for our guards but much like Pippen, if you give him his points and don’t let him create for the others I like our chances of scoring 60+ and Molinar scoring less than 60.

It's another good selling point for Wendell to try to get by him for drive and kick game or floaters instead of settling to shoot over him. Another opportunity to get better. Every State game I've watched has been ugly so I'm expecting something like the UF game. I think we will shoot better with the Wilson balls. MSU plays pretty slow

What's the real shooting differences (percentages) of us using Wilson vs Nike. I'm not sure I subscribe to the theory.

I don’t subscribe to the theory. Shooters shoot. You think kids go out to the ball court and demand only the Wave or only Nike? If there is a real difference then there should only be one universal brand. The wave is an awesome ball and should be the go to.

Even if those balls did affect us, we were still up until 2nd half collapses of all our losses. Did they change the ball or something? We were up by 5 against Arky with like 2 minutes to play. The Nike ball didn’t lose us that game.
