I think newer basketball fans just watch auburn and that’s fine. But they aren’t noticing that hey pretty much everyone else loses road games weekly too

I’m not too concerned about a loss. I’m more concerned about our guards getting exposed and have been stuck in a shooting funk.

Yeah a loss sucks but it’s the play of the guards and our defensive rebounding today was not that good at all.

For reference, Auburn’s worst loss was by 5 (OT losses count as 1 pt). Here are the worst losses for some other teams:
Gonzaga: 9 (basically at home to bama)
Arizona: 16
Tennessee: 28
Kentucky: 13
Arkansas: 22

I think some of our fans got expectations skewed with our schedule being easier on the front end of conference and having our away heavy hitters at the end.

Overrated, that's all there is to it. They made history reaching number one, but this team will not get past the sweet 16.
Agrred. I will be shocked if we make it to the sweet 16. This team has a lot of holes that have been exposed.

Please give me your takes on the rest of the top 8? I can only assume they don’t have any holes

Yea, this isn't true.

So you don’t think the front half of our conference schedule was easier than the back half?

Maybe marginally. We played the best team in the conference at home and @Bama front half vs. @Ark and @UT. A healthy LSU at home vs. Bama at home. The others are pretty much a wash. I guess 2 road games vs. 1 might tilt it but it's certainly not the difference between how we started vs. how we are playing now.

I guess I'm just tired of our fans bashing our team. We're on a historically good run, and all our fans can do is bitch about an offensive slump we're in. Just enjoy the Kessler/Jabari duo while we have them. If we lose out and miss a SEC title, maybe I'll be upset.

Man looking back, we had a chance to really extend that lead early second half. Combination of a couple tough calls, careless turnovers, and missed open shots got Vols right back in it. Gotta play with that sense of urgency we have at times with more consistency. Foot on the throat

Got news for you, Arkansas is the best team in the conference and we had to play the while they’re peaking.

We can agree to disagree on this one but playing away is a massive factor and our hardest 3 away games in the front half were @bama, @OM, and @USC.

Trusting and hoping Bruce has our guys ready by tourney time though. Hopefully we are able to hang on to that 1 seed.

This is the biggest difference in the final four team. They learned to make the kill shot on teams. This one plays a little too loose when up and it regularly bites them. Still hopeful for a solid tourney run.

Thank you, this is what I’m feeling too. If you are an auburn basketball fan and not enjoying this season, I’d recommend looking for hobbies elsewhere. There is plenty of reason to keep believing in this team. I especially have no place for fans bashing some of these kids on social media. I mean I know that’s just how it kinda goes these days but I refuse to accept it as normal.

Auburn has the best road record of anyone in conference by a good margin

Bitch please, it's the easiest also, barely escaping UGA and Mizzou by a point while posing as a 1 seed doesn't make you king of the road.

As the color analyst said if our 3 pt shooting don’t get to around 35% we are going to struggle in the SECT and NCAAs. We shooting below 20% unless u throw in Jabari.

I was worried about our pg shooting and Greene has hurt us down the stretch. He isn’t picking his spots to take his 3’s.

And I dont recall him driving enough to the rim this game. To try and get fouls or at least allow Kessler and Jabari rebound his misses.

At this point, Flanigan may be a better option at PG. Green is costing us games

Have you watched Flanigan put the ball on the floor? Turnover waiting to happen

Agree to disagree it is. On a neutral floor in March I'm taking UK all day over Arkansas.

I think we have to win the SECT now, which is why I thought today was huge.

I will admit for all the hand wringing we couldn't be playing any worse and we are still losing games in the last minute on the road to good teams (the Florida loss aside). The bad news is I keep thinking we can't play worse but I keep getting proven wrong.

I remember the days that all Auburn fans said “man I just wish we could make the tournament every other year” now we got guys pissed that we only have a one game lead in the conference standings
