I'd sooner just declare it a tie so I don't po CorchJay, but since there weren't any tiebreaker rules until the Vandy game( actually I got rid of those cause it caused too much contention) I won't be applying them retroactively cause then I'd have to re do every previous prediction thread and I don't want to

I don’t understand why it’s become a shite show. There were multiple people I think 5 that were 2 points total off the score. So we had 5 winners who gives a shite if there are ties.
And the over tie breaker I would say is dumb. Make the tie breaker if we must have on be the poster that gets closest to Auburns score. And if 2 tie then both are winners.
The reason I bitched initially is because obviously you can’t put in 2 or 3 scores and say oh I mean the one closest. And on top of that then go well so and so was the same amount of points away from the scores but they were over and the others were under.
This is supposed to be a fun little thing. It’s a talk shite moment of I got it right blah blah blah. So since I have been dominating the score predictions seems that the made up rules after the fact were nothing more then a way to try to equal the playing field. Everyone has to get their trophy.
So frick it. I’m done with this dumb arse debate. This is the last I will discuss it

You wanted me to declare you the winner of the Mississippi State thread, and I had already declared CorchJay the winner of that thread, both of y'all were off by the same amount, so if I did anything I said I'd say y'all tied.
But there wasn't any tiebreaker rules in place before the Vandy game, so I just said I'm not going to change any of the winners on previous prediction threads cause those were made before I added the rule about getting close as possible without going over and I don't want to have to go back to previous prediction threads to make changes retroactively using a new rule.
You predicted 24-13 and he predicted 27-16 so y'all were both off only 3 points. ( You predicted Miss St score right and he predicted Auburn's score right so I'm keeping the sole winner as CorchJay)

It's impossible to make everyone happy, so I'm trying to make the most amount of people happy as possible, but right now it's not so possible.
I'm fine with the tie breaker being the closest to Auburn's score if everyone else is fine with that( there still may be a tie even with that, if multiple posters choose the same score like with the Vandy winners, but the tie breaker will try to break the tie as much as is possible)

To me a tie breaker of closest score to AU’s score makes more sense. Since we are all Auburn fans.
That’s not a knock on Chex either. He and I tied in the Miss St. predictions because we were both the same amount off on the score. Before we started adding Rules in lol

I'll add ChexMix to the Mississippi St prediction as winner along with you, but that'll be the only change I make.
On another note if for example the final score of an Auburn game is 35-14 and one poster picks 34-16 as the final and one poster predicts 36-14, I think that's where the poster closest to Auburn's score without going over would win so 34-16 would win imo.
As I've said repeatedly I'd prefer after this season for posters to just make their predictions without a winner being tracked, maybe I'm the only one though

OK…I get it…you’re not in a position to “bet the Farm” in its entirety.
However?….certainly you could bet at least a just few Acres that she might not necessarily notice if they somehow were to come up missing?…right??
