As Jang (I believe it was Jang) showed in a graph of the michigan game, Mateer threw 0 passes to the left and feasted across the middle.

Mebbe …. but I would suggest the reason is because that is what Michigan’s 4-2-5 defense was allowing … a pocket over the middle …. and it might be different for Auburn.

I agree with the rest of your post though, especially the Grossman comparison…. that was a fine day.

Every team we’ve played has worn us out on the slant for repeated conversions. I fail to see why Mateer won’t use the slant as his “go to” play …. early and often … to limit Auburn’s pass rush and frustrate our D.

To me it comes down to Auburns rushing attack. If we see 180 yards without turnovers, I think we win.

Hey, Trinidad … are you seeing more navy personnel down there lately?

OU - 38
AU - 13

OU has only given up one TD all season. They will stack the box and force us to pass, which we wont be able to do. On defense, we wont be able to stop their passing attack.

I just watched the Oklahoma vs Michigan game.

Oklahoma is good. But they are not world beaters by any sense.

Michigan looked like Ball State trying to pass. It’s a one dimensional offense with a freshman QB.

I am feeling better about us keeping it close and maybe even winning?

I believe these teams are closer than our fans realize. Look at the stats.

Mateer has thrown and INT in every game, hopefully he keeps up the streak. They also have issues with protecting him and we are one of best in the nation at getting to the qb.

I think we see a lot more of Jared Smith on Saturday. I think the defensive staff is starting to realize they have a freak on their hands and he will make Mateer miserable on Saturday. Coming out party big time!

I’m no expert but depending on the severity the average Joe is 6-12 months of recovery per google.

He’s a young athlete so I think it won’t be that long but I don’t think he comes back this year.

There are some gnarly images on google about it

Henderson's a pure freshman , so he'll likely be withheld unless absolutely needed. He didn't see the field against Ball State because he wasn't needed.

It's pure fabrication to suggest he is a "bust"

Idk Justin Jones got carries before him and that type of game is the exact kind of game Henderson should have got some reps in.

A year in the weight room and training may help.

It’s a big jump to college football for many of the best high school players.

I hope he can develop.
