Murphy and Freeman were great. Finally something clutch although the TOs under 2 minutes are unacceptable

Freeman led the team with a plus/ minus of 10
Hall had 6
Filip had 3
Rest were negative
This is probably the first time I see the losing team have more players with a positive plus or minus (4)
We are fortunate to have a win when Pettiford and Hall combined for 19 but it's a blessing we have other players finally stepping up

This is actually insane to think about in college. Just shows how atrocious our defense actually is.

You could tell Tahaad, Hunter and Freeman wanted the win more than usual.
Hall did enough rebounding so I am not gonna knock him anymore than I did yesterday.
People need to remember that Hall never made it to the tournament and his teammates were wanting to get him there. Being a high pressure game Hall could've just been too emotional

I saw quite a few people on twitter going after Hall for that clip. I also heard that he was going straight to Pearl and gave him a hug in that moment. So I’m hoping that was the case.
But on a night when his shot just wasn’t falling and he wasn’t getting calls attacking the basket, he had 9 rebounds and 7 assists. That is how you make a difference on nights when you don’t have it offensively.
In general I thought the team had great intensity, played tough defense, and made it a purpose to not settle for 3’s. We just could not buy a basket in the paint if your name wasn’t Murphy.
Also we have to learn how to finish games out. Almost our 2nd game in a row where we had a multiple possession lead in the final minutes and blew it. As good as this team is at getting to the line and shooting free throws we should be better at closing out games.
