Shouldn't the University do that? Or should we feel sorry for a multimillion dollar coach getting fired?
Like I mentioned about that reads like someone "official" came through either the AD or HR.

Ask yourself do you think the university wouldn’t be going through ALL of the procedures in the official handbook verbatim if their is an actual investigation? Cross T’s dot i’s

Yeah but if all this stuff was allegedly happening for awhile why does the university seem flat footed in a response.
It's like news dropped and the university went oh shite let's look into it

No the University shouldn't go on a fishing expedition to find a reason to fire someone.

Wouldn’t that just appear coordinated? Aren’t you upset with that too?

I never said it was coordinated by the university. It was clearly coordinated by someone for all the articles to drop the day after signing day while Harsin was gone.
Do you disagree?

It felt coordinated by someone but apparently not by the university that wasnt prepared to come out from underneath this mess. That much I agree with.
It is said that Harsin wanted to talk to PTB above Allen Greene because he suspected the heat before the vacation. That was denied. He was also told his job was stable so that he would go on.
This is clearly the PTB going after him and I believe they are right this time.

No choice now:
If we assume the PTB made the push for termination with cause and got friendly media to exaggerate claims about Harsin
And we assume everyone feels that as a result, Harsin can't continue (burned bridges and all)
Then the school has to do a thorough review so it can conclude something like "Harsin arguably engaged in conduct justifying termination for cause, but to resolve this amicably for everyone we're going to pay him 12 million dollars thereby indicating we weren't even close to a for cause termination"
And we have to do the due diligence otherwise it looks quite like boosters forced the hand of the school. And likely that's what happened, just not in the traditional sense. I don't think the boosters will get their way because Gogue wants to do their bidding, I think they'll get their way because they made things so unstable Gogue had no real choice.
This is Putin stuff. Destabilize first, then make your move.

This only works if Harsin settles.
By every indication, he doesn't plan on doing that.
ANd it makes me like him even more.

This is all eerily similar to UT/Pruitt a year ago.

The only reason he'd settle is if they have something on him. If they had something on him, they'd have already fired him.
I dont think he'll settle.

One of the most frustrating parts of all this is I highly doubt we ever know the full truth. I wish we had wayyyy more transparency as an organization. Why must everything be done behind smoke and mirrors

If they dont have a rock solid reason to fire him with cause, Harsin has all the leverage in this situation.
All of it.
They better hope they find something that they can fire him with cause.
Otherwise, it will be Head Coach Bryan Harsin out there at the first game with a giant chip on his shoulder.

Right or wrong what choice does he have? Who would he sue and be able to prove started all this, and actually win? How much would he spend to try and win a lawsuit. How sure is he that he wants EVERYTHING aired?

Harsin is stubborn. He won’t go quietly, and he shouldn’t. There’s already so much that’s been aired I doubt he’ll ever Coach again anyway.

Unless he does have something to hide, something nobody knows about yet. If he doesn't settle, everything comes out, on both sides. Also Auburn would just drag it out and bleed Harsin dry. He really has to settle I think

He's in over his head. Take 12 million and stay in Cabo with his sister wives.
