While I agree with this do you think Cignetti thinks the same? He’s worked his way up to this point so for him it could be a destination job. The guy is 63 too. I don’t see too many programs going after him in a couple of years.
Saban coached until he was 70. I'm sure there are some schools that would love to have him for 5 years, to get their program back on track. If I was FSU, I'd make him say no.

Ciganetti and Lashlee are going to get offers after this season from much bigger programs. No doubt in my mind.

Saban was 56 when he was hired by Bama.

Cignetti’s agent is currently reviewing an 8 year contract extension that was presented to him on Thursday … one that significantly raises his current compensation level.

I imagine the buyout clause will be low. No way a good coach with the possibility of a big time school coming knocking, would want to be chained to a school like Indiana.

Money is already set aside for QB, LT, WR, RB out of the portal. With relation to OTV, TUF. How many on here bitching about things contribute to the program? Even if $25/mth?

I will guarantee this… if Rev. Hughes comes back after a 4-8 season, we will lose a lot of players. If he is canned, the only way we retain two years of recruiting is if we have a solid hire. That’s why I am leaning toward Monken or Bieniemy because of their NFL experience.

At this point, having Freeze stay is the right thing to do and even though I have zero confidence we will ever be great with him, we will certainly get better. I know that is not saying much considering the first two years but when you can purchase up a couple of great recruiting classes, that talent will make you better. Then the needle just moves with the talent.

Will we always be straddled with him losing games against other teams with similar or even less talent? From what happened at Ole Miss and his tenure so far at Auburn, that answer has to be leaning towards yes. That's what I mean by moving the needle.

With his great recruiting, we will be come a 8 win team again and then try to figure out how not to let his poor coaching/preparation lose games that will keep us from taking the next step.

There is no way you send him packing now and honestly, it would be bad for the program if they did. Subsequently, it is going to be bad for the program to keep him but less of a evil for a while

Exactly. If people weren’t acting like poors, we’d have gotten Cam Ward in the offseason and Thorne would’ve been at Prairie View or something.

Someone here was pimping Raiola and Rhule earlier. Let's examine:
