No. Hugh Freeze is a fricking loser. Stick with the run more in the 2nd half and we win. When you have an ok QB, play to his strengths, don’t try to make him Superman every down.

What I’ve learned about my fellow AU brethren: You have no idea what a good QB looks like, and you don’t know shite about football.

Enjoy the misery with our POS scumbag coach.

I don’t advocate for firing him. That’s just dumb. I do think he could do a better job coaching though.

No. Hank would be worse. And putting Walker out there now might break him.

Ride out the bad season. Nothing else we can do and it’s the safest option.

Hugh is recruiting.

At some point we have to win though. The players are headed into the locker room with yet another Loss at JHS. That’s a morale killer.

This was THE opportunity to leave Cal and Arky behind is. But we are just not a well coached team at all.

The “when” is arbitrary. If Hugh keeps the recruiting up the gaps will be filled in.

We have no choice but to give him time.

Hugh should simply not give Payton RPOs when he wants the ball to be run. That simple. If the ball must be run, do not call a play that could be a pass. That is on Hugh 100%.

Thorne needs his hand held, that is what it is, that Freeze can’t see that and has given away 3 games this year is on him.

It's literally why he was chewing Thorne out. 5th yr senior QB should know to forget the rpo even if the numbers call for a throw, give it to the stud rb and chew clock.

Why call a fricking RPO if you want the QB to just hand the ball off

Just call a gd run play

It’s a fair criticism. Hugh has to quit putting the onus on his players because his players don’t have the brains to pull it off as things stand.

Can't think that way anymore. Simplify the offense, get him some exposure, run with your senior RBs and take your lumps. Get him exposure.

If Hugh can't pay for a good QB out of the portal, we will have NO QB next year. If we show no answer to that but marching Thorne out to get bludgeoned game after game, you can kiss that high ranked class goodbye and probably our WR freshmen too. What Hugh does with the rest of this season could seal his fate in two years when he will absolutely have to deliver.

We put him out there he’ll get his arse kicked. Let some other QB that isn’t your long term plan take that beating.

What do you think offensive recruits are looking at right now? We are selling the future and what is the future at QB? Brown? He sucks. Sorry. That kid will never be a regular starter at Auburn and win. Keep Thorne out there? Buddy, the boo birds are going to be out next game this kid plays in Jordan Hare.

Hugh lets Thorne get his arse kicked and we turn in a four win season and Freeze is GONE in two years. Gone.

It’s his QB, he’s had multiple chances to bring in someone different. It’s his offensive scheme and coaching of it, all Freeze this year, no excuses.

If the players are dumb, that is also a Hugh Freeze issue. Every other Auburn coach sans Harsin in my lifetime had a good to excellent QB on the roster by year 2 without the benefit of the transfer portal and NIL. Every other coach sans Harsin had a conference competitive team by year 2*

This is all on Hugh. We have to ride it out for another year more than likely, but if he goes winless in conference (which is absolutely in play) he will be lucky to have the job next year. You can’t pull a 2012.

*and before we blame this on Gus and Harsin: Bowden, Tubs, Chizik all took over talent depleted teams. Tuberville had it worse than Hugh with what Bowden did to our roster. Hugh has the portal and good booster support. No personnel excuses can explain why we didn’t beat NMSU, Cal, Arkansas, & Oklahoma.

I think the long term solution isn’t on the roster and Hugh is working on that.

Recruiting isn’t suffering right now. If that becomes a problem yeah there will be red flags.

They should be seeing opportunities. We played several true freshman in this game. Crawford, Amaris Williams, Riddick, Cam, Simmons…the opportunity for early PT is very much available

The RPO was more necessary in the days before they had headset communication to the QB on field
