So you're taking up for Purifoy? He was even called out by the announcer for not playing D. Pearl chewed his arse and sat him for significant minutes earlier this year for standing around on D.

I'm just pointing out the obvious. If he doesn't start playing D it's going to hurt us against better teams

I'll take it. We need to work on getting good shots in halfcourt sets or we are gonna struggle holding leads but we're young and will improve.

AU teams of yester year lose that game. We still haven't played a complete game but are 4-0. That's a huge testament to talent on this team. Hope we get Purdue and see where we stand nationally. Still this is a huge win that could play dividends come March

Tt looked like shite for 75% of the game. We played well enough to win though. I'll take it. 4-0.

That's good to hear.

Struggled with the 3.
I hate that we live (and therefore die) so much by the 3. I feel like it's really unreliable especially in the college game. Hopefully we learn more how to pass inside and get better ball movement than just moving it around the perimeter.

How did we look overall? What was the good and what was the bad?

TT was awful in the 1st half, but we played okay up until Heron picked up an early 3rd foul in the 2nd. Took the offense out of what little rhythm it had, and everyone stopped playing defense. Lang and Brown continue to suck incredibly large amounts of arse. Brown traded a couple 3's in the 1st half with Heron that was big in getting a cushion. Spencer is still derping a lot on offense and defense. Made a few big plays on both ends in the 1st half, and his free throws are coming around.

They're young. Not surprised they got shell-shocked after blowing such a big lead, but they completely stopped even trying to disrupt on defense after Heron got his 3rd foul. In the 1st half, they were using their hands a lot and getting breakaways.

We don't have a reliable scorer in the post, so unless Wiley gets in we'll struggle down low all year.

Work in progress.

I do think Heron and Purifoy are NBA talent.

They need to take over.

Points given up so far: 66, 65, 64, 65. Hoping Purdue ends up boat racing Utah St and comes out flat. That Georgia St/Purdue game has me pretty optimistic.

Our defense is good provided we don't get in foul trouble up front. LaRon and Horace staying fairly clean tonight allowed us to win this thing

LaRon got two early fouls but stayed out of it in the 2nd. He hit both of his free throws, and I thought he should have played more in the 2nd half with Spencer doing little to nothing to help out the guys in foul trouble.

Can't complain. Sucks to lose a big lead, but some of that is expected with such a young team. Overall, a good win.

Yeah losing that lead doesn't concern me much at all. We just beat a tournament team with 3 freshmen and a sophomore leading the way. That's crazy

All 5 starters for them were JR/SRs and we were crushing them.

If you remove Bryce Brown building a house, we win by 10+

Yep and Bryce will come around too. If we have a night where all of them are clicking then we can beat anyone anywhere

Lang is the more consistent shooter, and can't even get himself open. When he does, he won't shoot. Hope they turn things around tomorrow. Smith and Spencer are going to get destroyed.
