Our thing is that we're young and don't know how to stay focused and play with the lead. Hopefully they'll figure it out.
The refs calling bad fouls against us at key moments killed any momentum we might have otherwise gotten to run with and made it that much more difficult for our freshmen. You could tell they were frustrated and felt defeated with about 4:30 left in the game even though we were only down by 4 or 6 points.

It appears Laron Smith may be getting pushed out of the rotation. He only played 4 minutes.

Yea, I noticed the same thing. My guess is they would rather give the minutes to someone who's going to be playing for us longer term.
It sucks because one of the highlights of games for me is him shooting FTs
Edit: One positive is Harper having 6 assists. It seems he's starting to distribute a little more. Unfortunately he just didn't hit his 3s tonight like he usually does.

Things I'm excited about going forward from this game
-First half showed quality team offense and quality looks
-Danjel Purifoy driving the lane more, he struggled but looked on the verge of being dangerous
-Harper distributing the ball well on drives
-Austin Wiley's hands and finishing in the post thus far
-Horace Spencer playing solid in the post
Things that were ugly
-Our team falling apart
-Not attack the rim when Maten had 3 fouls early 2nd half
-No guy who could put the team on his back for Madden
-Allowing 2 guys to win a game for the opponent

We start driving more and drawing more fouls, we get their big men in trouble. That makes it easier on our young/undersized bigs, which makes us better.

They beat us because we quit when it got tough. Very disappointing finish. Yeah the refs were pathetic, but we quit.

Spencer still should see 8-10m a game. Wiley can't handle more than ~15m and SPencer/Purifoy/McElmore all have foul issues

I don't disagree that Horace should play more of the minutes. I do hate it for LaRon though. He was probably expecting to be playing close to 1/2 of every game when he came here. Hopefully he doesn't feel rubbed the wrong way, because he seems like a solid guy based off some of his twitter stuff.

Watched a little Washington v Wazzu tonight and Matthew Atewe played sparingly for UW. He wouldn't get more than 5 minutes on our roster this year
