I know Waddell is clumsy as hell and mostly sucks but damn it he's our only rebounder outside of Wiley. You better give him respect

Heron had 12 rebounds tonight. Purifoy, 7.

So, about kenpom, how is Oklahoma 31 spots ahead of Auburn with three more losses and a loss to AU.. Someone explain that ranking system to me. It seems a tad bit screwy.

I'm thinking that with only a day and a half until the next game, we'll be seeing Spencer at the very least in the UConn game.

Brown? Don't know, don't care.

I think projections for the rest of the year are factored in somehow. It also takes into account scores of games and not just a win or loss. I didn't look, but the win against Mercer could've easily hurt us since the score was so close.

It uses calculated efficiencies to rank teams. Outscoring your opponent by a lot looks good for efficiency

So when Auburn blows a 15+ lead to Texas Tech, OU and USC Upstate to win by ~7 or less we don't get as much benefit

Kenpom rankings are supposed to be "purely predictive" to determine who'd win a matchup, not based on W/L records

More simply put, Kenpom cares more about you beating expectations than beating your opponent

We dropped after beating Mercer by 2

We would have likely still moved up if we lost to OU by 1

Really good win last night. This team hasn't even come close to playing a complete game. That is encouraging right now...just hope I'm not still saying that a month from now.

No doubt... It's just not a good look to have the SECs 2nd/3rd best team losing at home to a middle of the pack ACC team. Granted USCe is without their leading scorer.

Or a middle pack SEC team lose to the cellar dweller ACC.

To be fair we're picked to finish last in the conference

I hope so. I don't think I can watch us another game going 4 on 5 with Waddell in the game.

Waddel seems like a good kid who works his arse off, so I hope he doesn't read message boards because it is ducking painful watching him in the game.

Found this gem on one of UConn's main forums. Apparently we paid Heron and his father $300K, and they are perplexed as to how such a likable, hugely successful, and big name coach can get 4 and 5 star talent. LINK

Applied for an account

Want to let them know I can confirm that $300k rumor is bullshite. We only paid Cam $180k, sure as frick didn't pay $300k for a basketball player outside the top 10
