I would have said Javon Robinson at the beginning of camp, but that took care of itself so I'm curious what the board's thoughts are on who at this point in the season is our most indispensable player?

I really doubt we have one.
Gun to head I would say Rudy Ford.

I would go with someone on defense. Maybe Carlton Davis, Deshaun Davis or Holsey.
I can't think of anyone on offense I would consider indispensable right now. I guess I would have to say Sean White, just because the alternatives appear to be worse.

kJ is the correct answer... even more so than Lawson IMO. We actually have some decent depth behind CL with James and Holland. We got nobody behind Johnson at RB.

from the looks of that shitshow last week, plus the idiot play calling, i would say that the punter would be the one indispensible player

Johnson, White, Carlson, and Carlton Davis. Any of those would be big

Has to be Kerryon. If he goes down we are in dire straits at running back.
Who takes the majority of the carries if he went down? Pettway is still a fullback despite what our staff says. Martin is small so Miller is probably the next best option

Yep, KJ. And it's not even close.

I don't think anyone...at least so far...
Easier to give that answer a few games into the schedule.

Based on stats we can examine. Carl.

Examine last weeks stats... kerryon accounted for our only TD and had 80% of his 90 rushing yards after contact. Lawson was active last week but ledecky neutralized by Clemsons quick passes.

So are you suggesting it would be easier to plus someone into Carl's role than KJ's?
I would have to disagree.

With our current depth chart at both positions?... yes.
DL is the deepest position group on the team... RB is the least.

We're deep on the DL. Holland can step into Lawson's role and we won't lose too much. Who's gonna carry the ball if KJ goes down?

I really don't believe the RB position has enough value for it to even be an argument. It is simply a position that has been devalued so much in modern football that you can't compare it to the impact of possibly the 2nd most important position in football. Enjoy the game!
