Honestly, I say wait until SEC play starts. This game isn’t a do or die game. We win, awesome. We lose, not good but isn’t the worst thing too. Much rather have Broome heal and rest before SEC play begins than have him reinjure or make his shoulder worse.

Maybe he can wear one of those extra restrictive braces and play Saturday.

Hopefully he just stays out till SEC play IMO. Zero reason to rush back, not like an early season neutral site game against Purdue will impact our season that much. This would be a pretty easy point to get him two weeks off without too much trouble.

fwiw the first Nate King tweet he sent that he deleted shortly afterincluded " Broome's availability against Purdue is unclear"

I doubt Broome is out long.

I think Pearl will . . .
. . . let the doc's and Broome decide.

This is too finicky a injury to prognosticate from the outside in. Much less put on a schedule of absolutes days or weeks.

It's not a staple joint to begin with and not knowing more about the particulars it's silly to act like we do based on a tweet of sprain. I've had a separation, a couple different micro-tears, an approximation, a subluxation, even a cracked vertebra that resulted in right arm paralysis the 1st time, and then act like a injury to the left upon unknown re-fracture. And the one thing in common was no one could do more than say let's wait and see.. . . and we don't even know what grade of sprain 1,2,3. (thankfully doesn't sound like3)

We simply don't know near enough to speculate... so what muscle groups, which ligaments, and how severe the grade?

He had to be a skateboarder. Skateboard parks popped up like crazy in the 90s.

Or dirtbike racer.

If there is risk of reinjury or further damage by coming back too soon then sure. I am not qualified to know or assess that tho

Rock climbing white water paddler.

Shoulder injuries are one of (if not the) most common injures in whitewater paddling. I've put back in three dislocations myself and been present at least another dozen. Even helped a guy out once in a wilderness setting with double shoulder dislocations. He couldn't get out of his boat !!!!

My thought also.

That option gives CBP a chance to work on the kind of rotations and subs he might have to use in a tourney game if Broome gets hurt or in foul trouble.

And it is against a legitimate Quad 1 team on a neutral court, which means if we lose it really is not going to be a blip on anyone's memory come March, especially if JB didn't play.

Honestly hearing the teams reaction to this, it makes me feel good about this team finishing the season really strong. They all seem like they have good friendship

AUSCgrad2016 had him not making it out of the ER earlier in the week. What a miraculous recovery from Broome! It was a miracle.
