If anyone is interested in Vestavia at Trussville. I thinks it’s on TV in the Birmingham market on WABM too.

These teams are not evenly matched so far. Trussville is owning the trenches.

Vestavia going goofy in offense with 2 QBs on the field but they’ve found something and their line has started blocking.

Trussville just went up two TDs. About 7 to go.

Moody game is interesting. 42-14 Moody but 31 combined flags thrown. Good Lord.

Oddest thing. Vestavia gets the ball back with two on the clock down fourteen and they run their backup offense out there, conceding the game.

Oh well. Trussville 1-0 in region. Them Floyd boys are pretty decent at QB. Shame Vestavia was fool’s gold.

Auburn must have played very poorly against Vestavia

Yeah. Not like Auburn covered themselves in glory last night against Opelika either, though, but that’s a rivalry game so they get a bit of a pass there.

Vestavia is thoroughly unimpressive in the trenches for a contender.

Hoover getting that arse whooped against Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa is new. The region may be wide open depending on Thompson.

I want to see all Blount County schools do well. But my main 3 in order are: Oneonta, Appalachian, and Susan Moore because it’s where my kids went to school. That took a while pulling for Susan Moore and Oneonta. Would be like me pulling for bama cause my kids go there even though I’m Auburn through and through.

Hoover blew their load last week to beat Spain Park. They pulled out everything they had. Guess they had hangover this week

Our Edge commit that also plays RB in high school played last night. Fayetteville led 21-0 after the first quarter. Wadley ran off 56 points to take the lead in the 2nd quarter and had a 6 minute running clock quarters in the second half. Game finished 56-21

56 points in 1 quarter is a new state record for points in a quarter

Yep with a home field paved by my senior team. When I was a senior we made it to the state final four in baseball. At the time it was the furthest any team from Blount County had ever made it. Anyway our field was up against a cliff much like the football field is on one side. Our centerfield was like 250 feet. We had to play all of our “home” playoff games at the closest county school since our field wasn’t at all regulation. That paved the way for the field they play on today.

Man I miss the smell of baseball if that makes sense. Neither of my kids were interested in sports so…

But to get it back on track, current Mississippi State RB “Fluff” Bothwell is from Oneonta.
