If you hate it bad enough protest the subdivision and scare off home buyers. Make it hurt were it will count and that’s in their pocketbook!

No one actually cares that much. More of a social media contagion

If I am reading the stories correctly, it sounds like the builder agreed to meet with the mayor and talk about this on Monday (today), but had the tree cut down on Friday.

And now the eagles were spotted circling their fallen nests.

If they lied on their application that the nest was abandoned, can they face fines for that?

Protests are a waste of time these days. Progress happens and this is more of a issue with the developer and the feds. If he followed the rules then he is fine. If not, they will send him a ticket and he will move on. As long as there were no small ones, its a non issue

They did not lie on their application. They were probable within their legal rights to cut the tree down, but it was a dick move!

I wouldn't know, I haven't seen the application, but some have alleged that they said the nest was abandoned on the application. That does not appear to be the case.

Have you seen the application?

From what I saw, it didnt say "abandoned". Here it can be cut if there is no presence of small ones or eggs.

Eagles use the next when they are not making or taking care of little uns.

Video shows both eagles looking for nest

Homeo

Or are they looking for a new place to nest?

I totally get why people would be upset by it. Like I said, depends on if they messed with hatchlings or eggs. Or if they violated the terms of the permit

Having a-hole developer(s) in Auburn is a long standing Auburn tradition.
