Just my opinion but I think DJ’s lack of success in the Iron Bowl came from the obvious nature of his presence in the game. Everyone in the stadium knows when DJ comes in, he’s running it. If Gus chose to allow every play to be run by more or less every player, defensive coordinators would have a harder time predicting what we’re about to do. And yea, we did that in 2013 and ran it down everyone’s throats anyway but that was because we had Tre Mason, Nick Marshall, Jay Prosch, and a solid OL busting open lanes for them.

And Gus says Shiver was only in on that play bc Stove had come out or was gimpy and Shwartz was hurt. Gus said Shiver had not run out of that position since the very first of the year.

Did Kam Martin get on the field at all? I never understand Gus' substitution....

His inability to pass block hurts his chances of being in on other downs. Another reason Whitlow is more of a complete back.

But DJ still runs like a bowling ball at times. Head down, barrels forward. Whitlow fines seams. Its even more important now since our OL does not make "holes"

He is young and has a ton of talent. I cant wait for the next couple of years for him

I believe he took the 1st offensive snap of the game.

If Seth williams had the same attitude as Jeudy, he could be an all American. He has way too much Duke williams in him.

yep. I would assume that was a bonus for being a senior and sticking with Auburn for his career.
