Could we sweep the fab 5 in state for the next recruiting cycle?

Brooks

McKinstry (have to say I've seen him play multiple times not as fast as expected, more smooth then twitchy)

Hunter - commit

Goodwin - commit (Seen 3 of his freshman games and every game since his transfer to HT, everything we'd imagined Worm might be, he has vision, wiggle, power, and speed)

Williams

Other in state players that I have interest in

Big Tim Keenan (I know this kid personally and believe it or not he's a really good athlete even probably 30 lbs overweight, incredibly high character kid and very very strong)

Brandon Perry obviously since he was a commit but not really

Jarris Williams would we take 2 "smaller" backs in the same class?

Trinity Bell he might be a better SDE then he would be TE and if he and Mckinstry were to both commit we would have 2 legit part time D-1 basketball prospects. I have seen him play a couple of times. Covers a lot of ground but isn't as fast or quick as you'd imagine an SEC player. Very high ceiling and could be a massive sized athlete.

Will Crowder I'm with Jones he would be a strong backup QB but he has legit talent. Taking a backup spot at AU or going to someplace like Troy or Southern Miss and actually playing. Plus I think we need to keep a balance on the 2 QB years of 1 PRO and 1 Dual. Crowder has a higher ceiling then his rating but doesn't have a NFL arm. Has good field vision and pocket awareness.

oh gotcha yeah I remember him referencing me as that before wasn't thinking. Isn't Mel the draft guy and not a recruiting guy?

I get the insult. Makes my heart flutter that I got some one I don't even know spun up over an opinion about recruiting.

I've lurked for a bit and seen where people complain of lack of information or lack of legit discussion. Thought I would try to inject to discussion but I guess the newby can't have an opinion. I'll sit back in my corner.

With the elite talent in the state and one five star already committed, I fully think we can sign multiple five stars. Brooks and Hunter my best bet. McKinstry probably not because Auburn U has never signed a 5* CB that I know of, but the Mark Murphy CB gives me hope.

I really don’t like our chances with Mims and Brockermeyer. If we can land OLB Barrett Carter, that will sting the pups big time. They are already saying he’s a better version of (you guessed it) Pappoa.
