Honestly though really solid looking group considering the amount of time they've had to put it together.

Don’t know if anyone specific. Ghost hinted at Womack from Ole Miss today. Don’t know of any HS recruits

Interesting.. seems like we’ve been in a great spot with Donovan Moore, No.1 ranked player in the state, even some suggesting an AU lean. I hope that is still the case. Would be a huge get

Personally I’m not ever going to get excited about a high school QB in the NIL era

We have been burned so many times. TJ Finley, Walker White, Robbie Ashford. I'm hoping we bread a curse for transfer QBs, but we'll see

Recruit Reactions (Via Wiltfong/On3):

Terrance Smith:
quote:

“Definitely enjoying the visit,”

Jaden Upshaw:
quote:

“It was a great visit and felt good to meet the new staff and stuff and just can’t wait to see what they do in the future,”

Karlos May:
quote:

“Today it was a good experience and exciting experience,” “I know I got a chance to see some of the new coaching staff and new people in the building that are ready to go to work. I got a chance to speak with Coach Golesh and he seemed hyped up about the season. What really makes them jump out or stand out is the relationship that me and Coach Vontrell and Coach Durkin have. They’re the main reasons Auburn is top contenders because our relationships is so much deeper than football. The way they coach, they coach with heart, passion and fire and that’s what I need.”

Chase Johnson:
quote:

“The atmosphere was crazy,” “It was good. The thing that continues to excite me about Auburn is how they recruit me so hard.”

Kyson Mallard:
quote:

“It was amazing,” “Something like I’ve never seen before. It inspired me to want to play in a program like that under that coaching staff and what they stand for. The culture they have is elite and something that I’ve never seen before. Everyone was connected to everyone and that’s how a family should look.”

Junior James:
quote:

“It was very energetic and a lot of energy from the staff, "From everything I’ve seen today it definitely looks like Coach Golesh knows exactly what he’s doing with the great staff he’s assembled to coach Auburn. I’m excited about the fact that they play a lot of young guys and especially a lot of kids from the High school I play at.”

Jeremiah Dent:
quote:

“Man the atmosphere on The Plains was phenomenal,”

“They had a small group meaning they wanted the top players and me being only one of the two running backs here meant a lot! They go by ‘be who you say you are!’ That means a lot and really caught my eyes because they believe if you’re that true five star or big dawg act like it. And the offensive stat record it’s insane, top 10 almost every year in offensive yards per game or points and that’s impressive. They see me as a versatile back who can go out to the slot and expand their offense. I’m am excited to see how Coach Golesh handles the SEC level full of good teams to play. If he can keep that up, I feel like they can really be a contender for me. I’m already loving this place and the fans are awesome!”

Khamoni Williams:
quote:

“Man the atmosphere was great,” “Met up with Coach Porter and Coach Golesh. They both are some great guys to be around. What excites me the most was the culture and how (Golesh) told me he’s going to be the best in the nation. I felt that.”

Rashaad Silver:
quote:

“The atmosphere was amazing,” “What excites me about the opportunity to play for Alex Golesh and the Tigers is his commitment to bring glory back to Auburn. He and the staff are heavily bought into their recruits and have a plan for each and every one of us.

“I definitely plan on visiting again.”

Kind of a weird list to use.

Finley was a transfer and not very good. Ashford was lowly rated and was never supposed to become the starter.

Also I’m not even really talking about us getting burned. I just don’t know how often you’ll get one that sticks around long enough to start.

More notes from Clemente/247:

Israel Abrams: Hung with Gordon and asst QB coach Kingston, also had extended time with Golesh. Will be back in the spring and will ov sometime later.

Jaden Upshaw: was asked how this visit compared to his last one-
quote:

"Really the new staff," "They're more welcoming. I had a good relationship with the last staff, but this staff I talk to them more and stuff like that."

Tramond Collins:
quote:

"It was really good. The environment was really good. The coaching staff was really cool, everybody was really welcoming. Coach Golesh is a good dude. Kodi Burns, the receivers coach, is an awesome dude."

Terrance Smith:
quote:

"I think they moved up really high on my list. I didn't talk much with the previous staff, but as soon as Coach Hoodie came in I saw the interest they had in me and I just wanted to show it back so I got down here for Junior Day and I loved it."

Karlos May: he's in no rush to make a decision and how Auburn does this year could factor in because he wants to play for a winning team

Ja'Bios Smith: Auburn made a huge impression and they're recruiting him at Buck which is intriguing to him, he'll be back to visit later on.

Jeremiah Culpepper:
quote:

"It was great. I loved the energy, I loved the vibe. I loved being able to feel like I'm at"
becoming a target for other top schools as well

Censere Gaylord: Didn't have Auburn in his initial top 6 but Auburn will be a contender moving forward. This was his first visit and will visit again

The NFL using 4 year rookie contracts, wish all of college ball would do the same.

Course I wish Jang would make positive posts....I feel the former will happen long before the latter.
