Have success playing this fall. Young guys show out, spend a ton in the portal and win a championship.
It’s a good plan.
It’s a good plan.

Their words not mine. If you follow the timeline our "experts" kept saying he would be the next Commit for months remember? Seems to check out that they may have told him to wait for awhile. Also I'm not as panicked because the other schools around the league and country seem to have FAR less commitments than normal because of rule changes and climate. I'm just using logic, but I might be dead wrong. Freeze has given me TONS of reasons to question him as a coach, but as a recruiter? He's earned the benefit of the doubt (in my opinion) Go ahead and press that panic button if you like though lol It's your blood pressure

Man I can't wait for a year where our recruiting doesn't seem to be waiting to see if we have a good season. One day man, one day

That last comment was said with some sarcasm. I really do think everything depends on performance and results this fall, so none of this really matters right now.
You can get some guys this summer, but if they see Auburn struggling again, in year three, they’ll for sure bail…as they should.

What 3 star lineman was RPM'd by Pinkston to Miss State over Auburn?

I think both sides are right.
I think we are slow playing Tiller because we think we may have someone else who is a better fit. Thats not ALL players Bralan can commit anytime as well as several others on the board.
I also think many are waiting to see if the vaunted "come see" actually gets seen after three years. A lot of these kids are choosing between other SEC schools and us, its not like we are the undisputed top choice.

Another factor, NIL is all up in the air. Okay the court decides on 20 mil. Who controls, who gets what, which program gets what percentage bbball, baseball, gymnastics, can programs like on to victory still exist as they are, or will the new commission disallow pay for play and keep it to real NIL deals, what will be considered "real".
Cedarian Morgan told Pink and JLee schools are telling him they arent certain what the "deal" is. What some schools offer, depending on the interpretation could be 100s of thousands of dollars difference per year for the top players.

Not really. There’s no point in blowing a significant amount of budget buying commitments so soon just to go 5-7 and fire Freeze. Let the success happen, then buy the players

Why following recruiting is becoming more and more of a ridiculous pain these days

ETA: ugh only one embeds. Second one says this:
UPDATE: Noles247’s Zach Blostein put in a flip crystal ball prediction to Florida State for Class of 2026 four-star wide receiver Devin Carter (Auburn commit) from Douglas County High School in Douglasville, Georgia. ?? #GoNoles #Tribe26 #devincarter

Prediction time:
This season inverses the previous season. Last summer people were buying the Freeze hype with every impressive committment and expectations for the season continued shooting up throughout the summer for no good reason at all.
This year apathy is at a high and getting higher. The season will put people back into their seats. Book it!

In 2021 I prected we’d finish 6-7
In 2022 I predicted we’d finish 5-7
In 2023 I predicted we’d finish 6-7
In 2024 I predicted we’d finish 5-7.
It’s still a bit early, but I’m encouraged at what I’m reading about the OL …. a critical deficiency the past 4 seasons. This was a must fix in the off-season … we shall see.
This year , I’m leaning towards 8-4, with a possibility of 9-3. It all depends on the Baylor game, IMO.
Auburn needs to be 4-1 exiting September, which includes road affairs at TAMU and OU, which I would be pleased if we split. That would give us a legit shot at 8-4, with 9-3 a possibility.
Gotta beat Baylor …. that will put the butts in the seats
