How compliant are coaches in honoring the “dead” period? And what is the penalty for not doing so?

Dead period sounds more restrictive than it is. Summarized, it really just means no in person contact or evaluations by coaching staff. Coaches still call, text, etc.

Everyone carries a camera with them these days so I’d guess coaches are pretty adherent, though I’m sure there’s strategies to circumvent the rules

It's more likely he isn't on the team next year than being the starter.
Yall keep saying it, yet here he is still 2nd string. I read all Spring long that he was going to transfer out after A day. I like the doubt though.. just going to make it sweeter.

I do think Jared and Zion both grow into ends and not Bucks. That would be a heck of a group in Faulk, A. Williams, Smith, and Grady

And on the other end, younger Faulk, The Third, Waller, and Phillips

Now that is what you call stacking classes, I like it, I like it a lot.

Yep. However I think JJ or Phillips ends up at a true linebacker spot unless Phillips grows to an interior lineman or 5 tech. He’s a big kid to be a freshman.

We are in on 2-3 elite pass rushers in the ‘26 class as well

Isaiah Gibson just decorated from USC. Is there any reason for Auburn to be optimistic? Or is some other school, like Georgia, in the drivers seat?

Edit: looks like Georgia.

Not too surprising. He wouldn’t even agree to OV at USC despite being committed.

I think I they’ll have a lot of trouble holding on the south east kids they got to commit early.

Chad Simmons posted this on the UGA board over at On3:

Just to add to Rusty’s post…. Georgia is the school I have been hearing the most about over the last month… Tennessee is pushing and you have to watch Auburn.

the state taxes alone would drive me away from that school. Its just not fiscally responsible to sign with USC

State taxes don’t seem to be helping UF any

Doubt it’s tax related or even NIL necessarily, just don’t think most southern kids like that distance from home.

Florida is in shambles. Billy will be fired after this year and they will have to go back to the drawing board.

If you dont consider taxes when getting paid hundreds of thousands, youre doing it wrong

Not saying you shouldn’t. Just don’t think state taxes are at the top of the decision tree for teenagers

Gibson is thought to be a heavy UGA lean. However it doesn’t hurt that he, Juju, and Morris all are still heavily looking around. I’m just waiting on the Justus Terry shoe to drop as well. It that I think it’s Auburn but I do feel like we could get in on an upper level to elite interior DL late in the cycle. Unless Coleman flips back if he does and Edwards does I think we are done on the inside

JuJu's dad is heavily involved as are most parents of elite high school players. I believe state taxes will become a big negative recruiting tool against USC. And if it hasnt been used yet, it should

If state taxes become a factor in the Deep South Tennessee and Florida are going to be destination states. Not sure state takes are enough on the amount of money the kids will be making to really make a difference. Just my opinion

Being tax free does have its advantages. You can add Texas in that group as well

He and Crawford would be a great rotation at the 0/1 tech. Very different players but both built like stumps and both physically strong. Crawford has more lateral ability and explosiveness but Edwards is a solid nose

Both should be able to give 25-35 good snaps per game when it’s their time to be in the 2 deep
