Trinidad reminds me of Auburnfifty in a way. 50 is a good old man smoking his weed and minding his business. Trinidad is the same way, but with a huge man- crush on Jones. I'm not gay but I guess I should be jealous.

He’s a Michigan commit and top 100 guy. #4 DL in the On3 composite
Cancelling his Bama OV next weekend. Some thought that this will come down to Auburn and Michigan

Is he? Alabama is currently 4th in recruiting.

Yeah. 6th in the On3 composite. Auburn is 9th
They’re doing fine. Probably a drop off from what they’re used to but definitely not in shambles either
We started winning battles against them with Saban last year and I expect that to continue if Freeze is here

Yea I mean realistically it will take on the field action to really change perception of their program. He’s lost some battles he shouldn’t so that is a good sign for us, but for the current class, they still have the Bama mystique. If they aren’t the same dominant team they have been, that’s when you’ll really start seeing an impact. He still has the benefit of being the coach of that program right now. It still recruits itself until they hit the field.

He's following Saban and most recruiting experts are talking about a noticeable drop off in the level of recruiting in comparison to years past. They also now have to fight against Freeze in state, Texas, Oklahoma and the rest of the SEC without their legendary coach. By Bama standards this isn't a great start. 4th is an embarrassment for them.

As we’ve always said, it is only June. They weren’t great (for their current standards) last year at this point and finished strong. That being said, it is still a good sign for the good guys. If they have a like 9-3 season this year though, oh boy look out.

There’s basically two waves now. You want to be be in good shape before the season and then you want to flip kids prior to ESD
A class can look way different between September and December

Absolutely. And with a coaching change like what they had, it is kind of like OL recruiting. There isn’t going to be some just monumental year 1 shift. There will be signs but it will be year 2 and 3 where you really see what reality will be.

I know they won't fall off the earth. Several recruiting experts have mentioned coaches talking about the difference in detail when it comes to contact or call backs with parents and kids. They've also been speaking about him dropping the ball in establishing relationships with coaches and parents. Nothing happens over night, and I never suggested that. For a team that won the recruiting title by finishing several cycles number one it's a drop off so far. The attention to detail (recruiting wise) isn't the same.
