QR codes and just venmo donations. No reason to bring paper money into this.

I bet college football players don't care whether it's digital or green.

$.50 of every beer sold in the stadium goes to NIL. I’ll fund this myself

I side with Poker on this. The closing was complete arse.
The big money boosters shelled out $6.5MM for the head coach and saw that product on the field. Freeze made $500k for every game this year, $8,300 per game minute he coached. AU fans are mostly real grads and are usually level headed folks. It’s going to be hard to convince many to pony up money for an unknown result knowing that Texas, Oregon etc will simply up the ante when it comes to call time.

Add a $5 NIL fee on all tickets. Give the option to add NIL donations to your cart when you buy them online

Tim Cook is a fig
Tim being gay has nothing to do with this. They don’t need CFB players to sell their stuff, it sells itself based on brand loyalty.

2023 Apple’s sales figures

iPhone: Apple generated $201 billion in revenue from iPhones, accounting for about 52% of its total sales. This translates to approximately 224 million units sold based on the average selling price.

iPad: iPads brought in $28 billion, representing about 9% of Apple’s total revenue. This equates to around 57 million units sold.

AirPods and Wearables: The “wearables, home, and accessories” category, including AirPods and Apple Watches, contributed $40 billion. This includes significant sales of AirPods and multiple Apple Watch models.

Tim.Cook has much bigger and more important people to answer to then any of us, about things far more important to him than football

Tim Cook’s net worth is $2B and helms a company with a $2.5T market cap and $380B in revenue last reported.

Phil Knight’s net worth is $45B and Nike has a market cap of $120B and $50B in revenue.

You just have to crunch those numbers to realize why Tim Cook has no interest in being a sugar daddy for Auburn.

Tim Cook sugar daddies whatever snowflake cause he chooses. I got over his riches over a decade ago. Please stop bringing this uninterested guy up.

The rich guys who waste millions of their own dollars so their college team can have fancy teenage football players are typically ex-jocks, or guys who are trying to live out a fantasy of being an influential pro-sports executive (ie: Jerry Jones or Al Davis).

I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised to find that Tim Cook doesn't fit into that category.

Tim Cook gave 50 million to the university just a few years ago. Look, it sucks being outbid, but not even Georgia and Bama could match Texas in the mountain of cash department. They beat the Dawgs also. If you really believed we'd pay 1-2 million for an unproven college D-lineman you're nuts. If this guy came to Auburn and PROVED he's the next Derrick Brown then sure, but some recruit? Hell No

I understand the line of thinking, and am probably beating a dead horse at this point, but going down this line of reasoning ultimately becomes a self defeating cycle.

The only constant there really is in modern football is the ability to buy players. The idea that Texas or Oregon can come in last minute largely goes away with a properly funded yearly NIL.

If we sit and wait for the right coach for us to grow our NIL, then we will continuously be battling a roster rebuild to get it to the level we want it, while balancing the argument of is it the coach or not.

If the fan base at large is of that opinion though, that’s fine and that is what we will be going forward. Just can’t complain that we are behind whoever we are behind in recruiting rankings or get upset when other teams swoop in and buy someone. It’s a whole lot easier to judge a coach’s performance when the roster is top notch year in and year out and a whole lot easier to get the replacement in as well if the coach is let go.

ETA: also, considering how pedestrian our basketball NIL is, I really don’t give as much faith to it being the product that is driving our NIL. Not saying it isn’t a factor, but our basketball NIL is middle of the SEC at best and we are a powerhouse. Unfortunately, our fan base just has no desire to contribute to NiL even at the bare minimum level, yet have no problem blaming whoever they can when we miss on players or whatever. It’s just disingenuous.

Haskins was a jacked Ra Ra dude like this too. shite sucks right now, but I'm willing to see how it plays out with the influx of talent coming in before I begin begging for a new head coach.

What kind of NIL deal do we need to get him? Maybe Cohen and him can hang out in a hot tub or something sometime.
