Who’s the backup?
IF Arnold gets injured, is it the freshman?
That's what Ashton Daniels was brought in for.

Ashton is Freeze's insurance policy pretty much.
If the season is off the rails then Freeze might as well invest into the future with Deuce though Freeze still might be gone.

Heard a couple of podcasters talking about the scrimmage on Friday. According to those guys, Jackson Arnold had a rough day and we could not run the ball at all.

Word is that Jay Crawford ROCKED Damari Alston on a tackle, such that Damari had to come out of the scrimmage.

They could be incredible. Also, always worth noting is most people have no idea what they are watching when they see a scrimmage. Even though it is a scrimmage, a lot of them are very situational, trying to work on certain things. Could have been a period where we were really working on defensive plays and stuff and letting them get real exotic while offense was pretty vanilla. Defense could just be that good. Offense could have just struggled that much. Who knows

Quick passing game has been solid. Deep balls highly contested and red zone has been bad. Run game has been up and down. Some days good some days not so good.

He’s very good in coverage but until proven differently he’s a terrible tackler. He missed 25% of 1 on 1 tackles last season. Compared to another freshman last season in Kaleb Harris he missed 7% of tackles which is elite

We have only played Ohio State once in that bowl game. We won 31-14. But that may have been the biggest hit I’ve ever seen live.

1990 Hall of Fame Bowl.
Auburn was down 14-3 when that hit took place. Pat Dye went out to check on Danley. Dye told him that if he got up and ran off the field after that hit, it would inspire his teammates. Once the cobwebs started to fade, he hopped up and ran off the field. He also ran all over OSU's defense.
Auburn scored 28 unanswered points to beat them 31-14.
Kirk Herbstreit was the QB for St.
