He is finally playing the position he should have been playing all along. He was always too big for Safety.

Same thing happened to Braden Smith. Coaches always felt like he didn't have the feet to play tackle now like 7 seasons later lol guess they were wrong lol

but Sherwood has played well enough to supplant C.J. Mosley at a linebacker spot.

Met Braden once as his then gf now wife was cousins with someone who played softball with our kid (Morris Shea family). Great down to earth person and among the largest human beings I have met in person

Jamien Sherwood named MVP of the NY Jets

quote:

Sherwood, in his first year as a starter, ranks third in the NFL with 152 tackles and leads the league with 95 solo tackles. A college safety drafted out of Auburn in the fifth round in 2021, he started 7 games over his first three seasons in the NFL before taking over at the team's Mike linebacker this season for the injured C.J. Mosley. Sherwood has started 15 games, co-leads the team with 10 tackles for loss, has 3 pass defenses and 2 sacks.

Dude should have been a LB every year after his freshman year. Was always too big for safety. Glad he is doing well.

Steele was a wizard for keeping him on the field at Safety

How can a man lead the NFL in tackles and not go to a Pro bowl?

Bo balling out and on the cusp of taking his team to the playoffs in his rookie year. 21 TDs in the RZ with no interceptions since Week 4. Happy for the kid.

Watching Bo makes me hate Harsin even more. Dude ran our legacy 5 star NFL future star outta town and benched him for fricking TJ Finley. frick Harsin

I just wonder if all the Bo haters can learn the lesson. It was never completely him. He was running for his life while playing against NFL talent week after week.

He had him for his second year as well. But it was that awful Covid year I’ve mostly forgotten and hold against no one

Covid year didnt count baw. And the point was Harsin ran him off and benched him for TJ Finley. Not sure why Husss is defending Harsin other than being a contrarian

I long for the days of going 9-4. At the time I felt like we left some meat on the bone but now it feels foreign

actually benching Bo for TJ against GA St was probably one of the few decisions Harsin made that worked

Bo was totally lost in that game, TJ was the spark the offense needed to avoid the upset

and if course he started Bo against LSU and it led to his best 3-game stretch in his AU career

Yep. Bo was seeing ghosts out there after 3 years of running for his life. He was a shell of himself
