Yep, he’s got some good backside movement on his fastball and is really hammering the outside corner. Guys are swinging at anything remotely close on that side of the plate.

Radio said Penn starter is Ivy League pitcher of the year. I haven’t been watching but they said his slider has been really good.

Looks like we may be figuring him out a little. Laying off a lot of the balls off the plate they were chasing and jumping on the strikes.
Irish is as impressive of a freshman hitter as I can remember seeing. He doesn’t have the power yet, but he has smart at bats and it’s like he’s hitting off a tee with where he hits the ball most of the time.

Butch needs to offer him an NIL deal after the game though. He was dealing for 5 innings.
