I am not familiar yet the the pitch clock rules. But as long as I have been coaching taking the signal on the mound not on the rubber is a balk w/ball.

Not sure the rule if it is not signaled from the catcher.

Anyone have any info on it?

All bama's pitcher receive the call I assume from the dugout look at the wristband then toe the rubber. I guess the counter could be you are calling defensive plays and not pitches.

How can a college pitching staff be this bad at throwing strikes. It blows my mind. To my knowledge it’s still 60 foot mounds so could these guys not throw strikes in high school too? Or what? This is just downright embarrassing to watch

8 walks and how many HBP? Bama had 1 walk. A miracle it was as close as it was

Yeah every game gets harder and harder to watch. Zero pitching depth and the last two batters in the lineup would be better off being told to not swing the bat.

Good hitting, above average defense, horrid pitching.

Samford is tonight at 6:00. Crotchfelt is slated to start.

I guess to make myself cry, I looked up the walks. AU is ranked 236 out of 295 in walks per game, putting 5.46 on base per 9 innings. Believe it or not, the worst team in the nation puts them on at a clip of 8.5 per 9 innings. That award goes to the UNA Lions. It feels like we walk at least 1 per inning but I guess not.

I am shocked we only have that few. We must’ve been getting calls pre-SEC games
