I could see a Garner hire go a lot like the Pittman hire for Arkansas, and I don’t hate it.

Recruiting would obviously be a lot better, I also agree Rodney Garner would know exactly who he would want on staff, and he wouldn’t jump ship for another college.

Vastly improved recruiting would cure many ills we are experiencing right now

Exactly what we need after this Harsin experiment. I know the name isn’t exciting because he’s not some 40
Year old hot shot that coached a top offense in the country but do you want to win the press conference or games?

I still would take T Will over Garner. Not sure how much drive G has, I thought most people say he got any (or was that rock?)

T Will could be our Dabo and would stay out of the way of the coaches he hires.

T-Will would be on my list but way below Garner and McGee.

Never know Coach G just might bring T-Will back and make him DC and associate head coach so he can learn the daily ropes as well.

I wouldn't hate it. Look at the energy Notre Dames new coach seems to have brougt. I don't remember hearing his name mentioned for HC gigs before he got that job

Gardner with T-will sounds good to me. What about McGee too, let him try as OC and load up on top RB recruits?

Freeman will be a very good test case to watch at Notre Dame. He’s definitely adding talent to an already good team.

I'd kind of see T-Will as a similiar hire by us

Could work but would definitely need a solid QB coach and secondary play caller to help out. I don’t Dell Has called plays since he was a high school coach.

Craig?

Why the hell not? Lights out recruiting and lots of energy. We have been missing both.

Not that kind of secondary player caller. I meant a play caller on offense to help Dell out if he’s the OC. Craig would work although I would have to spit a couple times before I could say something good about D. Craig. Throwing racial shite at your old school where fans worshipped you as a player and a coach was poor taste even if it was for recruiting

Who wouldn’t be down with a staff like this…

Coach G.

Dell OC
T-Rob DC

T-Will LB
Craig QB
Z. Ethridge DB w/T-Rob

Add a good DL and OL coach. Profit.

Like the old days… keep it down home cuz

I’ve been alive since 72. Started paying attention and a fan since about 80 or 81.

The 2 staffs that brought in the talent had the most success and significant championships.

Dye and Chizik both were give me or get me the best players and we can figure it out.

Dye even had the shite show of offensive coordinators where Sullivan/Crowe/Blakeney/Coach Dye would all be screaming and bitching at each other about play calls during the games lol. 4 SEC championships later no one cared

Don't disagree with your premise though I'd move retention down because if you are doing the other things I think that happens naturally.

Randy I would say true in the old days but the portal says I think retention is gonna shoot up the priorities list

Dye and Tub just had an eye for talent. They could both develop it too. That is what has been lacking at Auburn for a long time, IMO.

Tubbs had 3 really strong classes back to back to back. With an on probation Bama. Not sure Tubbs does it without some outside help if Bama being hurt with scholarships.

Dye and Chizik got the talent for the championships.

Still say outside of maybe Miami 2001 none of the champions of that era is beating the 2004 team
