I didn't think we'd have a more lame duck coach than 2020 Malzahn but here we are.
I'll bite and repeat again my point of view. If, just IF, 2022-23 AU manages 9-10 wins, which I believe is very possible, and If, just IF, AU get its NIL shite straight, then EVERYTHING is (back) on the table. I believe CBH to be many things, but not a quitter, and I believe there is not a single player he will field this year that is. Steep learning curve, no doubt, what seem to be "recruiting losses" to a vast majority of us on here that really don't know shite, too many "AU fans" can be our absolute worst enemy. In short, comments and opinions like this do all the negative recruiting needed, and more. JMHO.

Meanwhile 247 just put up an article that would seem to indicate Noland is close and Auburn is the clear leader

Imagine what Luper and Trooper think about their "Big Cat" weekend at AU now.
first BCW - Dyer Lattimore and Seastrunk to a Junior day.

Would Noland even be a SEC recruit if he wasn't at Langston Hugh's with all the other talent? I see a very average QB.

Kind of like saying...........would Arch Manning be the #1 ranked recruit if his last name wasn't Manning?

Isn't he raged like 52 overall and a top ten qb? He seems like a pretty good player.

No it's nothing like that. It's talent evaluation. If Noland is the top of our QB board for '24 then we don't have good evaluators of talent and I thought Harsin was actually good at that for QBs.
Plus I think it's a play to offer the QB to get the kids from this years class interested. I don't think they will actually sign Noland next year. That was kind of my point.

Not sure if they sign Noland but they’ve offered a handful of ‘24 guys despite assumptions he’s signing with Auburn

Who would you go with? Besides him and Posse there isn't another qb that we are high on their list.

I like Jake Merklinger

I like Jadyn Davis out of state and Flowers in state for '24 QBs.

Merklinger
He's more polished as a high school QB then Flowers but Flowers ceiling is much higher in my opinion.
I think Flowers is working with a true QB coach for the first time this summer. Footwork should improve. Dude has a cannon and nice throwing motion already.
Also does merklinger not remind you of Bo Nix in high school? Very similar to me different arm angles, happy feet, competitive.

Davis ain't coming here and I see Flowers as Bama bound.

We have to start beating Bama on the trail at some point. Can't just say well Bama wants them move on

He's going to be a consensus 4 star and Caldwell has been gushing about him all day and his leadership ability at LH
Posted on 7/15/22 at 5:51 am to Pettifogger
He willl be a nice recruit to reel in but I’m not sure why I’m supposed to care that Caldwell has been gushing over him

The recruiting services are all hyping any positive that they can spin up. Less clicks less revenue. No information or positive information means less traffic.

Yeah I know
And Petfifogger should know.
Recruiting= fluff buzz words recycled over and over again

I very rarely see Jason Caldwell get worked up about a prospect and I don't think there is any history of that. He's not a sensationalist.
I'm not saying that's a marker of future P5 success, but I highly, highly doubt JC is is throwing out glowing comments about a QB his service hasn't rated yet to sell subscriptions.

That's a lot of "If", my guy. I don't think CBH is a quitter either, but the fact of the matter is that he's getting his arse stomped on the recruiting trail. I don't know why you put "recruiting losses" in parenthesis like they're not real?
Lmao I guess I'm not a real "AU fan" if I don't like the way recruiting is going.
Ah yes, me having an opinion on SEC Rant is definitely doing more damage than what the PTB have already done, you got me.
