6'4 260 LB DE transfer Marcus Bragg from WKU will visit this weekend per Nathan King, he's a former 3* recruit from AZ who's played the past three seasons there where he was a major piece of their DL. Last season he had 4 sacks including a strip sack and 4.5 TFL.
He's a grad transfer with 2 years of eligibility left.

Been a good month for visits. Ethridge, Friend, brumbaugh, and CRob are doing a very good job. It’s exciting some of the players we made moves on. But… we have to close on some. We have to get some commits.

Speaking of crystal balls... After being on ON3 for a little while now, I definitely prefer the way 247 does predictions and CB's over the Recruiting Prediction Machine algorithm. I don't see the point in their NIL valuations either considering they just made it up themselves and its not actually based on anything except ow many stars you have and how many social media followers you have.

Dukes posted a new scoops so here's a rundown:
— He said after speaking with a source w/knowledge that even though we only have 2 commitments and are facing increasing pressure from fans and media that there's no panic among the staff. The source said Auburn's been careful to not max out their OVs and to be selective with them.
Auburn isn't "practicing" which in recruiting means you don't entertain recruits that aren't a good fit or you believe you have no shot signing them. He says he can confirm that two 4* ranked players have reached out about possibly OV'ing. He said whether it be size, playing style, etc that Auburn declined immediate OV requests because the players didn't fit the profile they're looking for at their position.
He spoke to another source who said Auburn was able to reshuffle their board based on verified times and sizes from recruits from either them camping at Auburn or elsewhere.
The example he gave was Jacorious Hart who ran a 4.3 at Auburn's camp and his stock has skyrocketed and shot up Auburn's board at CB
Hart played a lot of LB last year so he didn't have much experience at CB, but by working out at Auburn they were able to confirm his size, speed, and athleticism and put himself in position to get an offer from Auburn. He said you should see more offers go out as the summer evals continue.
— On Bo Hughley he said Auburn can close the gap by recruiting them like they have been. Bo really likes Auburn and him along with Tank Thurman, T-Love, and Horton have been together their whole lives basically and Air Noland has said Auburn's his leader.
They believe in each other and what they can bring to a program and Auburn's the only one to offer all 4 of them + Air. He said as of RN it's 60/40 UGA, but he'll know more this weekend.
— Making Cobb, Lew, and Carter feel comfortable and have a great time this weekend is imperative because these 3 could very well be the backbone of Auburn's 2023 class and are recruits many believe Auburn leads for atm.
Cobb is a RB that Coach Cadillac lights up about when speaking of him. Cobb has long been thought to be an Auburn lean and his HS coach Kirk Johnson is very familiar with the staff. Solidifying their status with Cobb is very important as he continues to garner interest and offers from others. Tennessee is thought to be the biggest threat.
Carter visited Clemson June 3rd and Clemson is pushing LBs that visit to commit because there's limited spots, but Oklahoma seems to be Auburn's biggest competition with Venables offering him at Clemson and again at Oklahoma. Carter really likes Auburn and wants his entire family to feel comfortable not just him.
He said that he's told if Auburn knocks this visit out of the park and recruits everyone around him including mentors then Auburn could be in the driver's seat for his recruitment. Although he likes where Auburn sits he said to not count out UNC and Chiz. UCF is a darkhorse led by T-Will.
Lew is someone Auburn likes for his versatility, attention to detail, and business like demeanor. He's a mauler of an IOL he can play center and either guard position. Lew is also pretty athletic for his size and fits the run schemes Auburn would like to execute. Dukes said his Intel told him UGA will make a major push for him, but if Auburn stays the course Auburn should be able to sign him.

They acted like they didn’t panic last year too. I think I prefer some panic tendencies

Oh, look at us! We reject 4* players because these 3* and 2* players “fit” better.

Clemente CB’d 4* WR Karmello English to Auburn
Posted on 6/18/22 at 4:00 pm to TheJones
English is supposed to visit this Mon-Wed I think. He might go to Michigan for the weekend after though.. If he doesn't take that trip then we got him imo, but if he takes that trip I'm not assuming anything until that announcement comes.

Grad Transfer with 1 year to play
Posted on 6/19/22 at 12:11 pm to TheJones
Cobb is in for a visit today. JLee put in a prediction for him today too.

We're in the top 2 for Anthony James with a decision coming in July, probably after his visit to Washington.

Bragg is just a roster spot filler and you hope you can get something out of him. Right now taking any 1 year transfer that opens the scholarship back up at the end of the year is perfect. We are still 5-6 short of a full roster.
