Arguing between the current QBs is pointless. None of them are good enough right now. None of us know what they can develop into.

think people miss how bad our line was when they evaluate robby.
Robbie is not a Qb and should be running with the WRs. Its just an uncomfortable fact that some of you will have to live with.

sub 50% completion, terrible Qb rating, worst in the SEC. but yeah, he is a shoe in for the starting role and will lead us to victory!!!

On behalf of Jones and others I would like to kindly ask we get back to recruiting discussions and any available news. I know that Robby is tied to the recruitment of a QB, but it has veered way off. I am including myself into this as well. I am also taking Jonesy’s excitement away to call everyone to order as well.

I doubt Robby would start at any other SEC school. He shouldn’t even be in the discussion hoping we bring in 2 transfers

With average SEC talent and coaching Robby Ashford can have a winning record, that's all I'm saying. Do I think Auburn is going to win anything of significance while he's here? No, I do not. Do I think Auburn should go into next season counting on him to be the guy? No, I do not.
That said, he had moments of immaturity but he also played his arse off through a really difficult situation. Not sure what people get out of constantly shitting on him. Especially the same people who will blow Hugh Freeze who is significantly more deserving of derision.

Hugh was worthy of derision during the hiring process when we could single out and praise whatever we wanted. We lost. Since then he has done everything you could expect out of our HC. You don’t have to jump on board but you have to at least take the next few years in stride. Your contempt for Freeze cannot override your Auburn fanhood.
As for Robbie, I liked the way he played post 1st half of Ole Miss. He is a gutsy quarterback that plays hard but whines off the field. He only deserves a shot at QB1 next year. He earned that. I hope we get someone that is better than him though.

My issue with Freeze was never how he was going to recruit or perform on the field. Time will tell in that regard.
For me it is irrelevant though, no amount of five stars or wins is going to change my opinion on being wholly against a phony crusading pedo coaching our football team and being the face of the university.
Also, at a big program with immediate playing to offer at virtually every single position on the field we have 1 of the top 45 transfer portal players in the country. Yea, we got bodies so we can field a team next year. He isn't bringing in difference makers.

I have been very critical of our coaching and our recruiting/talent level as a whole. It is extremely rare for me to call out individual players and certainly not repeatedly over the course of several months.
