That doesn’t say that he’s reached out to Freeze, just says Auburn has been in contact with him.
If they miss on Wade and whoever else they target on the OL then the 23 OL has a good shot at being even worse than this years.

Kight is going where he knows he can start. Bama's backup OT who couldn't crack the starting lineup after ~3 seasons wasn't going to be guaranteed time at a major school.
Maybe we can land some more OL via the portal. The HS class was awesome, but they aren't ready.

I don't think I'm really high on Spencer, tbh.
He has some talent but he does have these WTF moments so, IDK if they balance out

Unfortunately there are more Calzada’s and FInley’s in the portal than Hooker from Tennessee or Caleb Williams.
I don’t really watch a lot of OOC games but I watch Auburn’s, and I’ve seen some great QB play.
I have to believe Freeze can find someone.

Low end of the scale, but at least the offense would be functional, enabling other positions to get quality game reps. And the defense wouldn't become exasperated. Would be a solid move if all else fails.

Im sure we will pick up a few more linemen in the portal after bowl games and find us a QB as well.
Think about an OL playing in another conference, he has a year left, school may offer him a few bucks and he finishes his career. Or he can come to Auburn, play in the SEC, get top tier conditioning, a few more bucks, a year of vastly new experience and then try the NFL. Its money for nothing and the chics for free, rest easy a lot of fish out there yet.

I don’t watch a lot of OOC. I really cannot tell you. I wouldn’t mind Spencer though. We won’t get a great QB until we shore up the OL.
We watched a guy from San Jose State torch us with back shoulder throws. There is talent everywhere.
