A kid that wanted to be in Auburn and never got recruited by the last staff. Fantastic. Let’s get him.

Confirmed that Russaw did not make it to Auburn this weekend.
He was in Montgomery hanging out with Marlon Davidson.

I said a few days ago I was writing him off

Backstory for those that don’t remember: Sylvester Smith tried to commit to Auburn last year around this time. He would’ve been Auburn’s first commit in the class. Harsin didn’t want him to because he was confident in our progress on more highly rated guys like Hurley and Mitchell.

I'd like to buy a pair of Freeze's shoes, and Ra Ra with the tube socks and Crocks makes me think we should pass on signing him. Is he going to bed?

Sylvester Smith is ranked 101 on Rivals, which puts Auburn closer to pace for the kind of class that Saban signed in 2007, which Stidham8 will enjoy learning.

Guys, Hugh Freeze and co are making recruiting fun to follow again.

It really mellowed out towards the end of Gus’ time at Auburn and sucked hard under Bryan.

Didn't realize how true this was until now. I mean, I knew it felt kinda meh. But if what we are experiencing now is what we were missing...damn.

Oh I quit following recruiting completely with Harsin. There was no point.

Can’t believe the recruiting sites were still writing articles on recruits during the Harsin years…completely pointless.

I’m glad I didn’t get to find out, but it’s hard not to imagine what kind of class we would have gotten if they gave Harsin one more year. There are a lot of players that will be on a “UAB” roster that would have ended up here..

Auburn would’ve been even more behind the 8 ball if he was given another year. The HS recruiting class wouldn’t have been top 40 and Auburn would’ve gotten scraps out of the transfer portal from the Mountain West.

Hang with me here.., but has anybody seen or know anything about the play “The Producers?” It’s about two guys that scheme people out of money for a play they create to bomb. I am starting to think Harsin was playing it out in real life college football. How anybody could come into the SEC and put so LITTLE effort in recruiting is beyond a joke.

So you’re saying all along that our coach for the past 2 seasons was actually Mel Brooks?

That explains a lot!
