Dukes posted a new Scoops so here's a rundown:
• What recruits are saying about Harsin:
• Lewis Carter won't visit for the LSU game due to hurricane Ian messing up his HS schedule so if he visits it'll most likely be for the Arkansas game on the 29th
• Auburn sits in the best position to land 6'5 300 lb JUCO OT Keyshawn Blackstock
• Montgomery RB Cameron Wallace is a name to watch at RB
• 3* DL and UNC commit Josh Horton has been talking to Auburn and Brumbaugh a lot and Auburn can make headway with him with a competitive showing against LSU
• He talked with some HS coaches who said SI is still contacting them about Harsin's recruiting and another article could appear soon.
• Russaw was disappointed about the Penn State game his disappointment was more about the outcome than the experience. He loved the atmosphere before the game and game day experience as a whole. He and James Smith will continue to visit throughout the season and will probably visit during the WKU game
• What recruits are saying about Harsin:
quote:
Four-star 2024 quarterback Air Noland of Langston Hughes (Georgia.):
"I like Coach Harsin and Coach "Keys" (Kiesau.) They show me a lot of love especially Coach Harsin. Before Penn State we were chilling on the field and he let me know he had been seeing how I started the season. I've been hearing the rumors and I hope he stays that's my guy. Auburn shows me a lot of love period. When I was watching the Penn State game somebody yelled out "Hey lefty we need you out there." It made me feel good that people know who I am down there. It's a special place."
quote:
Four-star interior offensive lineman and Auburn commit Bradyn Joiner of Auburn (Alabama):
"It doesn't bother me at all...there's always going to be hard times it just how you get through them that eventually will make it better. It shows character the way you handle it and I feel like Coach Harsin is handling it great and blocking out all the noise."
quote:
Unranked linebacker Marcellius Pulliam of Sandy Creek (Georgia):
"I haven't been keeping up with all of that...I'm focused on winning state. We are 5-1 and feel like we should win. I was supposed to take an official on September 24 but I'll get back down there soon. Auburn is good with me regardless."
quote:
Anonymous response:
"I don't really pay attention to it but it's always something going on. I still like Auburn I just want to know who I'm going to be playing for. The coaches just tell me to keep balling and keep coming back. I'm going to the LSU game and maybe another one."
Anonymous response:
"Coaches at other schools keep saying the rumors are true about Coach Harsin moving on but when I asked the coach recruiting me at Auburn he said not to worry about it. The media acts like its definitely happening. I don't really know what's going on for real."
Anonymous response:
"I don't really like it. My mom has major concerns. They kept saying it when we watched the Missouri game."

The normal corchjay Friday night Davion Dozier watch. Not sure the exact totals but something like 7 catches 130 for 3 TDs. They could have thrown to him every play if they wanted. Won 53-14

I won’t be happy until we legit recruit him. He is by far the best WR in the state and it ain’t close

Recruit reactions:
quote:
–James Smith, 5-star DT, Montgomery (Ala.) Carver: “I liked the atmosphere. I liked all that. Night games, I like that. I liked their energy. They came out hard. They really wanted to play. Big game. … (he noticed a big difference with Auburn from the Penn State game) They actually wanted to play.”
quote:
–Qua Russaw, 5-star edge from Montgomery (Ala.) Carver: “(The atmosphere) was crazy. They fought hard — just fell short at the end. I was more pleased tonight (than after Auburn’s loss to Penn State) because in the beginning they looked different. In the second half, they still put up a fight. They had a few drives that didn’t go their way. They still fought hard, though.”
quote:
–Bo Hughley, 4-star Georgia OT commit from Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes: “The game was great. On my way up here, I talked to LSU coaches and Auburn coaches. While I was up here, I was checking out both teams. At halftime I talked to one of the LSU recruiters and they told me LSU was going to come back and it was going to be something special. And from what I’ve seen, it was kinda something special. I feel like Auburn could have come back and won the game at the end.”
quote:
–Rueben Bain, 4-star edge from Miami (Fla.) Central: “It was a great. Just some parts we have to fix. Offense could be a little stronger. Defense did their part as far as getting the offense the ball back. They’re young (on offense), especially at that QB position, but I saw a lot of positives from the game.”
quote:
–Jelani Thurman, Ohio State 4-star TE commit from Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes: “It was another packed-out game. Obviously, it didn’t come out the way they wanted it to. Just last-minute flukes. Just a lot of mistakes. We kind of snuck our way (into the student section). It was pretty fun. Got next to the spirit section, too. It was fun. They made a lot of noise.”
quote:
–Edwin Joseph, 4-star cornerback from Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna: “It was great. The defense, cornerback play — they did a good job. But for the most part on offense, turnovers killed them a lot. Whoever makes the least amount of mistakes wins the game.”
quote:
–Clay Wedin, Michigan State OL commit from Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day: “I was impressed with the (Auburn) O-line overall. I felt like they improved greatly from the last game with both pass protection and the run game. Honestly, I have more respect for how they finished that game out. They gave them hell every single play.”
quote:
–Keldric Faulk, 4-star Florida State edge commit from Highland Home (Ala.): “The game was real good. There were some plays, some parts of the game where they got unfocused. Some plays they had busted open. But toward the end of the game they kind of regained focus and fought back into it. They just couldn’t pull out the win. The atmosphere was great. The fans here have always been good.”
quote:
–Joshua Horton, 3-star North Carolina DT commit from Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes: “It was a great atmosphere. Great light show. All the fans were involved with the game. We actually went in the student section most of the game. We had a good time.”
quote:
–Cameron Coleman, 2024 WR from Phenix City (Ala.) Central: “It was electrifying. It was nice. I was on the field. I had my shaker. Supporting the (Auburn) Tigers. They didn’t come out with the ‘W’ but I had a good time. I had a great time. First Auburn game.”

We ain’t getting any of those guys except maybe Coleman. Sorry

I do like the guys from Carver, the way they are looking at the games/performance. It seems they want to come but know it’s a crap show. If we pull the trigger I think they would come right in

Corch Utah has had 11 lineman drafted the last three years. Auburn has 1. Most of them were unrated or throwaway two stars.
Auburn needs a Pacific Islander pipeline. The culture aligns. Family and food. Also hard work and devotion to a cause. I will not stop mentioning this.

We already went down this bullshite earlier in the year about OL/DL drafted. You said Utah had more.
I went back and added all up don’t remember the how far back I think just current NFL rosters and it wasn’t close Auburn lead by like 6 or 7 more in the league.
But keep up with that 4th rate program. I’ll cheer for a team that actually has a chance to do something in a National scope

And stop spamming the recruiting thread with bullshite about Utah. Literally no one other than yourself cares. We want to be nothing like Utah. Utah doesn’t compare to Auburn regardless of how far we have fallen the past 2 years

quote:PAC-12 Champions my friend. I don't think Utah has ever finished above 35 in recruiting rankings, yet we produce lineman like a sawmill for the NFL.

How the frick did an LSU Recruiter talk to a recruit who I'm assuming was sitting in our recruit visitor section?

On the sideline pregame most likely

I bring the real sauce Poker Dough. You bring nothing to this board. I do. Your takes are gerrymandered garbage that you read from a collection of news outlets. I'm plugged in and can offer something of worth. An adverse opinion.
Read your articles, bro.
