hate to bring up the class of 22 but Bama moved Emmanuel Henderson to WR… dude grew up all AU, chooses Alabama and within 3 months of being on campus is already moved away from RB.

Stolen from reddit: Auburn now favorite to land Daquayious Sorey. He commits friday. Was a UF lean but now hes not a take for them. 24-7 profile

Everyone else is full at WR. Will be a nice pickup for us if not by default

His brother, Xavian, was a 5* recruit that signed with Georgia in 2021.
Chad Simmons predicted Auburn to land him on On3 yesterday.

Clemente said we're the only one of his top 4 that he has a committable offer from so he is probably going to put in a CB soon

That’s why I said by default everyone else he was considering is full or waiting for someone they have higher.
Looks like a pretty good WR tho and is a bigger body

Brother or cousin?

I think brother.
I see he’s 3rd string at one of the 4 linebacker spots for Georgia. Interesting.

Has he even been to Auburn for a visit? Any idea why he decommitted from uga after 6 days?
Posted on 8/21/22 at 8:32 pm to BigBlueAU
Haven’t seen info on when he’s visited. Also doesn’t seem to be clear info on why he can’t commit elsewhere. Doesn’t seem to be any red flags
IMO, I think we value him higher in NIL than the teams we’re competing with

Breakdown of new Clemente article:
- thinks we land Daquavious Sorey and Hilliard's played a big part and has been " working him and working him" over the past few months.
- 2 other names on the WR board are Adam Hopkins and Jalen Brown.
Adam Hopkins is considered a TAMU lean but Auburn's been working on him and is someone they're monitoring.
Jalen Brown is a LSU commit and will be hard to flip but is someone they're keeping an eye on and if he visits things could get interesting.
- a source thinks that Auburn lands Russaw (and by extension Smith) calling him a cornerstone piece. Clemente said it will take a strong season and NIL to land them but Auburn knows that and is preparing.
- Auburn's still recruiting Ausberry and he'll attend several games this fall. He's been "spoonfed" negative recruiting against this staff and it's about " winning and having success this fall in order to potentially flip him" according to his source close to Ausberry's recruitment.
- they continue to recruit Keldric Faulk heavily and they see a path to flip since FSU's staff is seemingly on the hot seat.
- Dakaari Nelson is someone Auburn didn't heavily pursue when he was ready to commit, but Clemente said his source told him he's someone the staff is keeping an eye on.
- Auburn recently offered 2 QBs in Miami commit Emory Williams and Iowa State commit JJ Kohl although neither have went public yet. Emory Williams seems to be the more likely of the two to flip since he's part of a 2 QB class at Miami and JJ Kohl is a Iowa State legacy and Iowa native. It would take something like Campbell leaving for Auburn to have a chance with Kohl.
- Bama QB commits Dylan Lonergan and Eli Holstein are two names that Auburn may look to flip with Lonergan being the more likely of the two, He's also a baseball star who our baseball staff has been recruiting for years, and our football staff may use that to their advantage and look to get on him. Clemente said this is in the infant stage rn and hasn't really took off yet and may not be anything more than an idea that never takes off but it's still being discussed.
- no OVs are expected for the Mercer game although he expects several recruits to visit mostly 2024 recruits with a few 2023 sprinkled in. DT target Jamarrion Harkless will OV for SJSU. Several recruits will OV for Penn State and a ton will UOV.
Mizzou TE commit Brett Norfleet and Arkansas LB commit Alex Sanford will OV for Mizzou game.

I would be surprised if we land Russaw and/or Smith. Unless we shock the world this year why would they come?
Russaw could see immediate opportunity for playing time. Smith I haven't watched enough to know if he's as good as advertised. But we always know how these "package" deals go.
The rumor has been out that basically if it's a NIL issue or reason that won't be a problem for these 2. Don't know if that is true or not but been said we won't get beat on a bidding war for them.

Really sucks that Bo and the WRs transferred. Not that we would’ve been a contender or even close to one but they could’ve gotten us 8 or 9 wins.

Kobe Hudson was the only receiver that transferred, right?

Canion as well, but I haven't checked to see how he's doing at Purdue.
Posted on 8/22/22 at 5:48 pm to jt33
I won’t count him since he was buried on the depth chart and didn’t do anything.

Agree most transfers never work out, its funny looking at the articles after each week showing what transfers have done. They never have great stats.

Only a few over the past decade that I wanted back

Jones,
How you don't go apeshit on people like me I'll never know. Really good recruiting thread and I'll bow out so I don't screw it up.
Looks like AU is going to have another 4* WR commit. I can't keep track of the names. Amazins '22.
