No I completely agree. You may have a few actual elite QBs enter each year but they’re looking to try and win a championship. We won’t be able to pull elite portal talent until they believe that we actually offer them something other than a nice NIL package.

I’m just sitting here watching Keon Coleman make amazing catches. Freeze should’ve sent the hoes to him instead of Throne.

We hired a guy that runs a similar Gus type offense that was figured out ten years ago
You do realize Hugh and Gus run completely different offenses, right?

No they don’t know that

The folks that run our program are so far behind the times it isn’t funny.

I definitely don’t know what the hell midnight in Montgomery runs. It’s like an offense but not quite.

I would not call them completely different but very different.
Oregon runs a similar offense. They are doing just fine with it right now

Derp, we stupid. Gus and Hugh are polar opposites.

I am not pumping sunshine …don’t like the conservative game plan Freeze has… but he is truly playing not to lose so that the defense has a chance to do something. Games like LSU are going to happen but I like the fight we gave both Ga (with a healthy Bowers) and a full strength Ole Miss team today. It’s easy to sit back and think about what plays he could call (I was also screaming for some screens) but he is trying to keep this close. We absolutely can beat Vandy Moo St Pigs and NMSU with the game plan we have with maybe some tweaks and get to 7-5 and not one talking head would consider that bad.

It's apparent in our perennial streaks of offensive futility and passing stats that are average at the top of our records books. Other offenses look like they are constantly getting chunk plays.
We can maybe get to 100 passing yards.
I do believe and hope a transition is coming and we will pass.

We better hope recruiting is super duper good because our coaching sucks.
Please tell me how you could run Thorne out there against, well, anyone?

Passing game problems are this…
Let’s take the X position in Freeze’s offense. Deep in route, comeback route, slant or fade. The defenders are taking the slant away by alignment. Our WRs can’t catch jump or back shoulder balls. That leaves 2 routes for them. The deep in route no time to get that far down field. Comeback is covered up 99% of the time. The Y runs posts. Medium crossers, back shoulder and out routes. None can get separation. That’s why we are running posts and corner routes to our slots and Fairweather. And if the pass is intended for 12-20 years the rush is normally in at least to get the QB moving

No way we are this bad next season… now I am pumping sunshine, but that’s the way I see it.

Was just trying to explain what is happening on the field.

Norvell, Elko, etc., we passed on a bunch of competent coaches and program leaders to hire a potato head and a fake preacher. Our leadership is stacked with brain power.
