Utah in the SEC West maybe goes .500. Maybe. Anyone that thinks otherwise is a fool.

I can't believe we aren't bringing in more either. We've got like 10 spots left. We can afford to take quite a few chances.
With everyone on the roster plus signees and transfers we’re at 78. Limit is 85, which gives us 7 to use until we’re at the overall cap. Anyone added at NSD would be added to the 78
I’d expect after spring we’ll break even by fall on transfers in and out.
We have 17 seniors for 2022. I could see most of those 17 leaving. I think 6 can use a Covid year and stay if they wanted to. 4 are OL.
Just a quick breakdown of numbers

So we are down to blaming Jonesy? I'm down.

Yeah my biggest issue with the class isn’t where it’s ranked, it’s the composition. We failed to address our biggest areas of need.
Edge is a real concern right now. 2 seniors and a sophomore/RS Fr
OL is always a concern. I think we have 4 OL that could do a super senior season because of Covid. If we kept them our numbers there would be OK but talent and experience would be frighteningly limited.
By my count, we’ve got 35 guys in defense and 15 of them are defensive backs. So that whole unit has some depth issues headed their way

quote:We've hashed this out previously. Utah would be 5-3, 4-4 in the SEC West because we lack fast-twich athletes. Utah would ruin UA and UGA's trajectory because of the physicality. OL and DL are SEC level, as you get further from the LOS we get worse.

no we haven't hashed it out. Like i said anyone who thinks Utah would be better then .500 in the conference is a fool and that's on their best of seasons. Generally they would finish 7th in the west. Don't ruin our melt with Utah bs.

If Auburn and Utah traded OL/DL lines it would net one more win for AU and one more loss for Utah.

ok keep playing that baby soft pac-12 schedule and think you're some kind of bully on the block. I think you might want to start looking out west and worry what Riley is doing about to run a train on that conference.

I'd take Utah's OL, they seemed pretty good the games I watched.

Wouldn't hurt if we had a pipeline to some polynesian linemen.

So this means we have 78 now, we have 17 leaving, which puts us at 61, and 4 come back, so we are at 65 plus anyone we pick up tomorrow? Guess that makes sense, normally the signing class of 18 would make up for the seniors leaving, but we gained 4 in the portal and lost what 19?

We’re at 78 for ‘22, not counting what we add tomorrow. This 78 are all guys that, for right now, are expected to play in fall of ‘22. This includes all of the transfers in and out to date.
There will be some more +/- but I’m guessing it about equals out by fall.
Somewhere between 11-30 will leave after next fall between seniors, seniors that stay, transfers in and out, and early juniors.
So it’s not that big of a deal that we’re rolling into the season around 78 but eventually we need a big class
