What a strange moment in recruiting that was.

oh for sure. Commits to Auburn and Saban calls him blasting him for it so he faxes his letter to bama instead iirc

His brother was at Bama, so that didn't help.

Yeah, Evans and the dance off at the party so they could make fun of the Auburn coaches.

Remember their grocery store was "bought out" the week of Evans signing with Bama?

Good news on ‘22 5* S Kamari Wilson, the IMG kid that stayed in Auburn and visited for Ole Miss game.

He says he is starting to narrow things down to 5 and Auburn is in it. He plans to be back for MSU or the Iron Bowl and says an official visit it likely.

I think we can cross off 3* LB Omar Graham Jr. Sounds like he didn’t participate in much during the OV other than go to the game with some family members.

He declined interviews at his OV but did a follow up with FSU guys. He seems locked in. This is a guy we haven’t really heard about since June so his OV was a bit of a surprise

frick Evans and his entire family. If there is any former Bama player who I wish ill on for the rest of his life, it is Evans. I hope he is bagging groceries for a living now

The good thing with Kamari Wilson is we can sell early playing time/a chance to start as a freshman.

Schmedding strikes out on another LB. Not sure we've had anyone else on staff miss as many times as he has. LB room is going to get thin in a hurry if he doesn't figure something out.

I'm not convinced Riley Quick can't be added to that list of bammers. Wouldn't put it past them for this whole "Baseball at Bama or OT at Auburn" thing wasn't just to get us to waste time and energy. I never thought for a second that we would end up here.

Pretty sure his brother's scholarship hung on Cyrus, and Saban let his parents know what was going to happen if they signed that LOI.

Yea Evans and the RB that was committed to us then flipped to bama before that last dead period. I'm blanking on his name. Those are the only two I have zero respect for.

TWill was the start of this streak last season. That was extra brutal. Not that it ended up mattering with the coaching change but this is lining up to be 2 poor LB classes in a row. Hopefully Joko Willis develops and we land Woodyard.

And to be somewhat fair, Auburn already struck out on Graham considering he committed to FSU a while back. I just personally believe the door is fully shut now.

Y’all get a little too tin foil for me I think it’s just a kid that’s split on whether to play football or baseball and I’m not sure Auburn is really committing a lot of time to it, especially if he’s not showing up. I think they’re smart to leave a door open. I’ve said a few times now that I think his current interest in football again is a product of it being football season and his teammates going through the recruitment without him.

. . . so what do they get for just showing up?

(Or I'll just turn it down and say baseball right now!)

I don't remember what the class was looking like before the Gus being fired rumors started. I know we we're looking good for a while until the wheels fell off... I really wish we would have gotten Trevin Wallace though.

I'm having a little fun with that one.. I don't necessarily believe it, but it wouldn't surprise me either. Those other 4 names are proof that anything is possible when dealing with Bama lol.
