The Harsin bunch always overlooks the fact that he dealt half the cards himself.
I'd also love to know what exactly he's even been hamstrung by? He's been allowed to recruit and hire as he sees fit. The off-field staff has nearly doubled from Malzahn's time, so he's not lacking funds or personnel. He was allowed to fire half of his coaching staff in year one. Allowed to hire whoever he pleased, including his two coordinators from Boise.
shite, no one even gave him any trouble for losing Bo Nix through the portal. All of the QB's on the roster are his guys.
Do you want to know what "JABA" really is? It's this idiotic self-hate that makes this fanbase think that there is always some shadowy figure ruining things for these Angelic Hc's that we hire. The HC is always some Jesus-like figure. These people can't consider that perhaps, maybe, Harsin is just failing on his own? He was a poorly vetted hire by an AD that was just rightfully released. Year one featured him making so many idiotic choices and mistakes ON HIS OWN, long before anyone "tried to fire him".
He was ill-prepared to coach in this conference, and that is his own fault. No one else's. I also find it baffling the degree of excuse making that is given for a guy that was actively gunning for other jobs after the season concluded. He couldn't even get Petersen to get him the job at Washington. But right, Bryan Harsin is doing an amazing job and the evil bogeyman boosters are the reason why we're coming off a 6-7 season and about to roll into 2022 with TJ Finley at QB. Of course.

Spot on. All of this. Who controls the media in this state and also has a huge voice on the National stage? We have been battling propaganda from the other side of the state since as far back as I can remember.

Just because it was discussed previously.

Which brings up the question: let's assume Harsin is done at season's end. (probably a done deal at this point). Who do you think we will hire?

The Head Coach at ULM is really making strides with their program.

If Jeff Grimes’ offense puts up some points this season, I can see him. Not to mention his Oline recruiting was lights out at Auburn.

He'd be good too. I also heard that the DC at UNC has got some ties to the area.

I'm sure there are some JUCO coaches willing to overlook the issues at Auburn.

I hate our fans and boosters some times.
Every coach, barring some sort of Mike Price incident, should have three years to get his program going before you give him a serious RE-evaluation. The first evaluation is obviously the vetting and screening before hiring.
I've never understood the rush to fire Harsin. There's never been a good explanation as to why we would get rid of him. We are now in a position where even if he wins, I can't imagine him staying. Why would he?

I agree, and as Freep asked, who will we hire, or better question, who can we hire?
But let's keep looking like the fools of college football because we are "realists", and we need to win at all costs.
But don't blame the revered boosters because they have money, they don't do anything underhanded and should not be questioned.
