I just saw the Mel Tucker salary. Geez
Who is Mel Tucker?

Why can’t we just have Deion and his celebrity coaches?

He can recruit. And one can’t do much worst than 6-7 when you have 3 cupcake games.

The take that Jimbo is overrated as coach is so overplayed that he has actually become underrated, generally speaking. He's clearly a good coach.
This is exactly it. The guy has somehow become underrated when you have people comparing him to Gene Chizik, when he literally has 6 ten-win seasons under his belt (it would be 7 had 2020 been a full schedule). He only has 3 seasons where he won less than 9 games.
And let me transition that into another pet-peeve that this relates to: people grinding their gears to try to convince themselves that these obviously strong head coaches are actually "average" or "overrated" or whatever term you want to use. This is the same shite as people trying to claim that Kirby Smart was nothing special a few years ago ("he plays no one in the SEC East and he hasn't beaten Saban"). If you actually pay attention, the following coaches are all routinely labeled as "overrated", or "average": Jimbo, Dabo Swinney, Jim Harbaugh, Lincoln Riley, Kirby Smart (prior to last season), and I'm sure there are a few others that I'm forgetting off the top of my head.
If you take out that list of names, who the hell is actually legitimately GREAT? Just Nick Saban? And even with that one you'll still have the occasional dolt who tries to argue that he's "nothing special, just has the best talent". It's absolutely silly.

I don’t think Mason called defense in the iron bowl… or really any games at the end of the season..

He did. This has been confirmed by literally every writer on every site. Jeff Schmedding "calling the defense" is a completely unfounded rumor. Schmedding worked on the game-plan, as he did the entire season...including the Miss State game, btw.

Yeap you have bammers say he is washed up and should retire after every loss. They are in for a rude awakening when he retires. Probably 30% of their fans will stop cheering for them.

We were able to view 4 sessions of the beginning of practice today. Here is what we observed:
Quarterbacks
- T.J. Finley and Robby Ashford were sharing first-team reps. Finley looked more crisp of the two, especially on sideline routes when he would release the ball before the receiver made his break.
- Zach Calzada was running with the third-team. Despite a couple of passes, he looked better than he has recently, with a lot of zip on his ball.
- Holden Geriner was in a green jersey (AKA scout team)
- Running backs stayed the same with Tank, Jarquez and Damari in that order.
- Tyler Fromm was getting reps ahead of Luke Deal. Probably not a big "deal".
- Tar'Varish Dawson and Ja'Varrius Johnson along with Shed Jackson seem to be on top of the receiving chart.
- Camden Brown dropped an easy pass along the sidelines.
- Jeremiah Wright was working in with first team along with Kilian Zierer on offensive line in position drills.
- Schmedding continued to work with the safeties. Etheredge was working what the corners.
- Safeties were doing drills movement drills on go-routes and out routes in man coverage.
- Jaylin Simpson seemed to be leading those.
- D.J. James is now No. 4 instead of 10.
- Zion Puckett is now 10 instead of 11.
We are set to speak with Harsin, Shenker, Pappoe and Hall this evening at 6:30 p.m. CT. We will give all the updates then

Saban will retire the greatest CFB coach of all time. If he’s nothing special then special is nothing special.

Give us the starting QB so the "ZC or bust" crowd can make their Fall hunting schedules.
Posted on 8/23/22 at 5:47 pm to BigBlueAU
They should go ahead and make plans because TJ is going to start.

6pm sounds like a good time to drop the chart

UGA
Bama
LSU
TAMU
= Better Talent
Penn State has a better coach

Zero evidence of this but anything to prop up the Harsin experiment’s failures

And Hoke went:

T.J. Finley and Robby Ashford shared some “first-team” reps with the running backs and some throwing drills…
Finley has been first on most of those drills for the last week or so, but Ashford definitely taking some reps with John Samuel Shenker and Tank Bigsby at the beginning of practice…
Zach Calzada still third during these drills…
. . .
Finley still drops the ball low when he’s passing the ball, it’s an odd motion for a player his size…
Ashford still throws rockets…that’s good and bad, just depends (the accuracy stats for fall camp would say it’s not great)…
Calzada looks great passing the ball, maybe the best he’s looked (of the media windows we’ve seen)…

Emmert hired Saban at LSU, Emmert became the king of ncaa. Saban became greatest of all time. Kirby left Saban and is doing the same things. Not to mention there has been plenty of smoke, just no investigations.

Did you read all the tweets from our players when George Pickens switched on signing day, until they were all magically deleted? I’ll never give those two big fat cheaters credit.
