Just pass a hat around Jordan-Hare during games. Split it among the players after the game. Done deal

From Rivals’ young Henry Patton aka future stud for 247.
quote:

We're about to talk to DC Jeff Schmedding (I'm on dark mode btw)

Schmedding

- When asked about leaders on the team he raved about Derick Hall and also mentioned Donovan Kauffman
- Loves the competition in the LB room.
- on Craig McDonald: "He brings a veteran presence. When you talk to him, you can easily see that he loves football." Mentioned that he's also a physical presence
- Said that Auburn is a great community to be part of, so there's that.
- Talked about how it's important to build *quality* depth at edge early in the offseason.
- Said they expect a lot of their DBS. Mentioned J.D. Rhym, Keionte Scott, Zion Puckett and Nehemiah Pritchett.
- ON Jeffrey M'ba: "when you talk about M'ba it brings a smile to your face." Mentioned how he's really excited to see him in pads. Said that he also needs to build core fundamentals and techniques and said that coach Brumbaugh.
- Said that Donovan Kaufman will start at nickel. Mentioned Keionte Scott, JD Rhym and others but their names are blanking me (will update in a bit).
- Speaking of Kauffman, he said that he's impressed with his work ethic and development. Mentioned how he's always the first one up the stairs when running stairs and has stepped up as a leader.
- Noted that it's really important to have versatility at nickel.
- Says they have 6-8 guys they can rotate on the D-line
- On the importance of having Owen back: "He is one guy that is dedicated to preparation." Said that he's excited to watch him take a step forward as a player and a leader
- Joko Willis will be working at edge
- Owen will be one of the guys running the defense. Mentioned how great defenses have a leader at all three levels.
- Really excited about Eku Leota. Said the challenge for him and Hall is to be consistent, "You're a very good player, can you be a very good player day in and day out."
- Also said that those two are good role models for guys like Dylan Brooks and others.
- When asked about if 10 sacks for Hall and Leota is realistic: "anything is realistic."
- Mentioned how Wesley Steiner is a vocal leader and that Cam Riley has put on "a bunch of weight".

That's all from Schmedding.

Harsin asks if anyone of us has been through a fall camp. Bennett Durando answers: "Does band camp count?"

This hasn’t got the attention it deserves. Alpha move.

How many of y’all have done 3 a days? Let’s get this shite on record.

Band camp at Auburn was tough dude, not gonna lie, 2 a days standing still in the sun, but worth being able to travel the United States all over +memories of a goal post going right past you during the Damon Duval days and through the Cadillac years.

The nausea that comes with getting a ride at sunrise to 6 am summer workouts is something that I still feel when I wake up too early for something like a flight

Butch needs to talk TJ into being a closer. He can ride to the mound on a scooter.

Zero because I don’t think amateur players should get paid. I was a scholarship college athlete back before all the fancy free shite kids get now. And not even a full scholarship at that. I had to have an academic scholarship as well and grants and loans to pay for mine.

Plus the “ they have no money and can’t work” crowd. We practiced more back then they are allowed to now. I learned how to hustle to make a few bucks and went around with no money in my pockets for days and weeks sometimes. It was also difficult to grow up more poor then I did.

So I know all the excuses and crap so why would I support with my wallet something I don’t agree with.
