Vandy is 10-1 last 11 games, we are 5-6 including a damn near 40pt loss to UK who Vandy beat twice in a week.

Vandy is chasing like 8-10 other teams before Auburn

Vandy’s net ranking is 82. No chance they get in. Miss State is the team on the bubble. Net of 42.

Palm and Lunardi both have them playing in the 11 seed play in game

Who made their schedule?
I guess they lost some quad 4 games.

They are at home, so I guess they have a shot at getting the automatic bid.

You do realize getting in the tourney is based on more than the last 11 games, right?

Sometimes it is and sometimes it isn’t.

No, now it definitely isn’t. It’s why the committee relies so heavily on the NET and KenPom, and why Texas A&M didn’t get in the tournament last year.

AA7, kind of like Tex AM last year I guess. Was just curious as I don’t know the NET. If they somehow win, I guess Miss St is out. I don’t see 9 in

just stop. Auburn is in. Period. You don't go from 9 or 10 seed to out of tournament bc Vandy wins a few games SMH. Vandy can take a bubble team out tho

Bruce needs to change something next year, because the current system is getting stale and is starting to remind me of the Gus years in football.

The system is not the problem.
The fact we have undersized guards and no one we can rely on to shoot the ball consistently is the problem.
Jabari Smith masked a lot of that last year.

And Kessler

I didn't mention him because our inside game hasn't suffered as much with Broome picking up the slack.
But yes he did help greatly last year.

Broome has arguably been better on offense than Kessler was (although we miss the Kessler pick and roll option) but not even close defensively

I love hating Bama basketball. I found my new Lebron.

Can’t wait until they get cut at the knees.

Agree fully. He’s not in the same realm as Walker defensively, but it’s also nice having a 5 that you can just throw it to and he can create on his own. Walker had a couple moves but most everything was either an open dunk or a put back on offense.

All that said, I miss having a guy that teams are terrified of driving to the rim on

They’ve certainly leaned into the villain role. Unfortunately Miller seems to be a guy that feeds off the negative energy.

Which shows how terrible these pointless nerd rankings are. Vandy should be ahead of Auburn by any measure. Conference record is better, head to head is better, wins are better, playing better now. We've got to get nerds out of sports.
