I was 11 in 6th grade when Carmelo Anthony broke my little heart in the Sweet 16

Didn’t understand at the time why we got rid of Cliff after 04

I wouldn't fit in my cliff dwellers shirt even if I still had it.

Me too. Born in 91. Been a die hard and posting on auburn message boards since I was 10 went to the last game at beard eaves and first game at the arena. Ive missed maybe 10 auburn basketball games since. We are beyond lucky to have Bruce and what he’s done. I get that we all want to be top 10 and a 2-3 seed in the tourney but I will take an invitation every year if that means we’re the last team in or not. We all know this team isn’t great. But it’s light years better than we were before he got here. And he has studs coming in. We’re ok

We did foul him a lot. There was a a quick whistle on our guys a couple times but overall he was getting positioned well against us all night

Pretty sure I was in the 5th grade that year.

For some reason my public school allowed us to watch the tournament games on the mounted 20 inch tv.

I was early high school when I found an Auburn message board. I remember when Jones had his thing for a short while.

As for basketball, I was pretty casual up until college. Had the pleasure of being a Lebo Lunatic and getting to see some of Barbee. After actually going to games I was hooked and would have given anything for us to just not be awful.

And he fouled us a lot also.
They just weren't called.

That’s probably better than the AOL 3.0 teen chatrooms I was going into at that time. Me aged 9 but lying about my age to try and talk to hot older 14 yr old babes, who were probably really 40 yr old men also lying about their age

Mom didn’t stay off the phone long enough for me to venture too far onto the internet to find anything as cool as an auburn sports message board, so instead I spent most of my computer time in 2000 playing Pajama Sam and Freddie Fish

Feel ya. I was at auburn for the end of Lebo and Barbee. I feel like that’s why I’m ok with this season with Bruce. I woulda given anything to see a season like this when I was there. Granted I was there for Cam but basketball was beyond abysmal. I showed up at game time for every game and stayed till the end for most and could sit where ever I wanted

I am a huge Bruce fan. I know this. I know Bruce isn’t going to win championships every year. I am confident enough in my fanhood to say Bruce screwed up with this roster somewhere and he probably knows where and he knows how to fix it

We are blessed to have Bruce, but he has moved us forward. Comparing our teams to prior programs are basically irrelevant. Bruce made the jump for Auburn to cross the great divide, and nobody wants to go back to where we were. However, now that we are here we aim higher.

I didn’t know there was such a thing as Auburn message boards until well after Cam. That shows what I knew.

I used to visit Auburn blogs that were moreso akin to wareaglereader. A bunch of links. I also saw some MySpace-like blog pages. Seems like “tiger rags” used to be one.

In the year 2000 is when I became a fan basically. I used to print and laminate rosters and schedules but that was it regarding the internet

And bowl, I was way too busy with AIM too.

My mom once saw posts by some woman/male pretending to be a woman teaching me what “eating her out” meant. I could never go to the chat room portion again.

yo man same

I was like 7 years old in 03 and I started lurking. I never made an account on those websites until like '06.

I remember watching those old Iron Bowl videos and saying "I could make that in NCAA".

Over many years of watching games on TV played in Memorial Hall at Vanderbilt, it has appeared to me that the elevated court and distance of fans from the court, in a seemingly darker building, may give Vandy a unique home advantage, especially for their 3 point shots. Perhaps some of you who attended the game last night or who have previously attended Vanderbilt home games can provide some insight for me.
Visually the perspective on TV is that the goals are sort of "floating" in space. Maybe that is because the TV cameras at Vandy appear to be positioned afar and distant from the floor.

Maybe but they still shot what, 17 more free throws when we were all handling the paint?
